Show & Tell Friday's with Canadagirl May 2,2008

Hello Friends and guests! It's time for Show and Tell. If you'd like to join the "gang" just hop on over to Mary aka Canadagirl for rules and regs. She's a peach and godly woman; one of the best!

My Dad

The past 8 weeks have been a challenge mentally, physically and especially spiritually (See all about Dad post if you don't know the story), but they have also focused my attention to learning all I can about my mom and dad before they are called home. I've been scanning old photos into my new CM software (I love it!) and I'd like to share some photos that are my faves of dad.

Please keep praying for my dad...we have a long way to go before he can come home.

hugs rom the farm,

Jenny

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. That is so sad! I will be praying for all of you during this difficult time.

Please thank your dad for his brave service on behalf of our country. I deeply appreciate his willingness to serve and want him to know it is not taken for granted.

Still praying for your Dad. What a touching tribute, beautiful pictures. My dad was in the Korean War also. He has lots of stories he likes to tell the kids.

Hi,
I just got caught up on your posts, as I haven't been on very much recently. May the Lord sustain you and bless you all. From what I understand, you're quite fortunate you still have him with you. I hope you'll be able to keep us posted for prayer needs. Your dad looks about the age of mine (1930) and you have some wonderful photos.
I'd be interested to know what this CM software is you referred to.
The Lord is good.

Hi Jenny,
Just getting caught up with your family here. I'm glad you posted pictures of your mom & dad as it is now. You sure have had a time of it the last couple of years, but I am glad your dad is improving. Good idea about getting pictures and family history while you can. Your mom looks too young to be going through such memory loss - that is really sad. BIG (((HUGS))) kiddo, my heart and prayers are with you and yours. When we are weak, HE is strong.

Hi,
I hear you couldn't get through on my site. Strange things happen, eh? But it did bring it to my attention that I hadn't added you as a friend. Maybe that will help!

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for stopping by my cbox and your encouraging note! Hey, where did your cbox go? Our summer has been good, but way too short. How about yours? How are your parents doing now? I hope better. Sorry to say, but we will not be in co-op this year. Amber has been in all 5 years of the Creation Science rotation and Anna didn't have any fun in co-op last year being stuck with the older kids (since we were just went to that one class). I can't see paying out $350 for classes we have already had or aren't excited about going too, so we decided to drop out. Will miss you though!!! Hope to see you sometime - I may still be coordinating picture day this year - there is kinda a funny story behind that one. At least we can visit via blog. Have a good week!!!!
