The Enemy's Strategy

Posted in Ramblings

I am convinced that one of our enemy's greatest strategies

is to so distract us with the daily-ness of life that,

before we feel we have even yet begun,

this life will be spent.

Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Did you take that picture? It's so pretty! I totally understand what you were saying :). In fact, I just posted something similar on my blog last Monday (titled, "T-I-M-E"). And I quoted the same verse!

"If satan can't make us bad, he'll make us busy." John West

Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm is the good one out in Pleasant Hill. LonePine is the one with the maze and big pumkins and little and it is great too. THey have always been pretty mild with silly pictures of a witch and brewing pot near the corn maze. But htis year on TV I saw in the ad a big skeleton hanging and my kids would not appreciate seeing that. Some kids may not mind it but I know mine would. Thistledown is just before LonePine on River Road and it is nice. It is much smaller though. I haven't been there in a long time so it doesn't ahve as much going on. Northern Lights charges 150 per group so obviously the more you have the cheaper it is per person. I think I have had to pay 20.00 for our family to go because we have been right at the limit. About 30 people makes it 5.00 per person. I'm not sure how many in our group is interested anymore but le t me know how many you have and maybe we can pull something together.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi after I saw your comment on Susan's blog. I'm here in town too, and attended the HOPE meeting for the first time on Monday.
Good post- something we need to be reminded of often!
Bless you,

About Me

It’s a record of my heart's journey as the Lord changes me evermore into His image. My name is Amy and I live in Oregon's lush, green Willamette Valley. My sweet husband and I have been married for 9 years and we are finding our way through the parenting maze as we raise our 3 precious kids. I am incredibly blessed to spend my days in my home. I stay busy being educated by my two sons (8&5) and my daughter (3). (Oh, and ocassionally I am able to teach them a thing or two!) So, take your time looking around and feel free to leave a comment. I'd love to meet you!
