Look What I Started!
Knitting, Knitting Everywhere!!!!
My son knitting his first hat!
My
Rent-A-Kid knitting his first hat, for his soon to be baby brother!
Some of our finished hats!
It never even occured to me that "the boys" would want to try the
knitting looms, but they did and they love it! They are all ready to start selling hats on Ebay! LOL

I want one of those!!! My son (soon to be 12) wants to knit with needles but that way looks more kid (and boy, if you know what I mean) friendly. Ok, you've convinced me, I have to get those. What exactly is the name for them (so I can do a search on ebay). What fun!!

Those hats are so nice. I should let Allen try a knitting loom. Where do you find them? My youngest son loves to sew, knit (but it's hard for him with needles) and is trying to crochet. He loves to do anything hands on.

That is soooo neat. I love that idea. ANd that's so sweet that the boys are getting involved too. I'm so glad that knitting is coming back "in style"...Let me know what they are selling them for and I'll try and get one for my hubby! (he just shaved his head for a play and is planning on keeping it...but he's very cold and sits under the van in our room w/ a beanie on, so our 2 year old daughter won't put her fridged cold hands on his head)

I should have included the link to my previous post on Knitting Looms, I have added it now. I got my Knitting Looms at JoAnns's. They are $14.99 for the set of 4 and currently are on sale for 40% off (Until April 15th.) As far as yarn I think anything goes....The thicker the yarn the thicker the hat. We have been using 2 pieces of yarn at a time for most all of ours. It makes for a thicker hat. I just make 2 balls of yarn and we thread it on and treat it as one. The "Yarn Lady" at JoAnn's suggested it and it works great!
