Today for Father's Month we watched the movie Cheaper By The Dozen. Not the yucky new one that has nothing to do with the wonderful book! This movie came out in 1950 and was based on the real life family with 12 children written in 1948. There are so many things I like about this movie. Here are a dozen of them...
1. The parents are in charge of the family, but listen to the kids.
2. The kids really love each other.
3. The parents really love the kids.
4. The kids love the parents.
5. The parents love each other.
6. The parents are very hands on and involved in the lives of their children.
7. They do what is right to them and don't really care about what society thinks.
8. They teach their children to love family 1st.
9. They have a lot of fun together.
10. Their children are not perfect.
11. The parents are not perfect.
12. The can all laugh at themselves.
While we watched the movie I made some much needed curtains for the window on our staircase.

While I sew my kids like to "help". Here my 2 and 5 year olds are helping by sticking all my pins in a stuffed cat.

Poor Cat! LOL

After Dad left for work the kids and I made a t-shirt for him. This will be his Father's month gift for day 10.

For Day 9 (tommorrow) we are taking Dad to the Drive In to see the new movie Cars. I hope it's good. We have all been looking forard to seeing it for awhile.
And there you have days 8, 9 and 10!
