My 5 y.o. daughter learned how to tie a bow yesterday! We are so proud!
My son and I started a Mom & Me
journal yesterday. This is something we did together when my son
1st started writing. He asked today if we could start doing it
again. What we do is get a little spiral notebook or
journal. Then we take turn writing notes and messages to each
other. We can ask questions, tell things about ourselves, write
poems, draw pictures. Anything goes. Then we each have a
special spot in the house where we can leave it for each other when we
are ready for the other person to read what we wrote and to write
back. I am thrilled that my almost 12 year old still wants to
know what Mom thinks about thing and wants to read what I am
thinking. Homeschooling is sooooooo WONDERFUL!

Jul. 17, 2006 - AWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I started trying to teach my little one how to tie her shoes this weekend. I hope it doesn't take her as long as it did my boy! (He still doesn't like to tie his shoes, btw!)
My son is 10 and hates to write, but is very very sweet and snuggley. I wonder if he would go for this idea?
