Sometimes I forget I am not "normal"!
Tonight we went swimming at our neighbors house and one of the
neighbors mentioned a T.V. show about homebirth. She was telling
me how the woman tried to have a homebirth but got scared and decided
to go to the hospital. I shook my head and said. "The thing
I most feared when I was in labor was HAVING to go to the hospital."
A few minutes later we started talking about school. I was
telling them all that I am pre-reading a World Religion book I will be
reading with my 7th grader next year when we do our Comparitive
Religion study. Then I was telling them that my son and I did a
study a few years ago on
Wilbur Willberforce and how awesome I think he was.
A few minutes later I noticed their dog had a little rash on her
bottom. (She is our dogs sister and we are very attached to
her.) I suggested a homeopathy remedy for her.
Tonight I was thinking about the whole conversation and I
realized....My neighbors are very kind and patient people!

LOL.....I completely understand. I am hit over the head with the fact that I am not "normal" often. Honestly, though.....I think "normal" these days is kinda scary, so I'm glad that I'm not! :o)

I am just the same! We are also slightly peculiar. I have also made comments to people about not wanting to go to the hospital. One time a family member said "Aren't you scared about not taking your children to the doctor" and my response was "I am more scared of taking them to the doctor" You should have seen the look of shock!!! I knew at that moment she thought I was crazy.

I can completely relate! I'm not normal, either. But I'm perfectly content being a little bit weird. :-)
