Seven years ago for Father's Day my son drew this picture and I turned it into the quilt.


I never really thought about making a Mom one, but the other day my daughter gave me this picture and I knew it was crying out to live on the wall next to Dad!  LOL


I have no idea why I have hair on only one side of my head.  But, other than that I think she captured the "essence" of me!  For years when she drew pictures of me there would always be a flower coming out of my head. One day when she was about 3 I asked her about the flower.  She whispered "Mom, it's there, but only little kids can see it!"  I just loved that answer! LOL

Anyway, here is the Mom quilt I finished today!


Now the Mom and Dad wall quilts are peacefully co-existing on the wall of the familyroom. 

I hope the kids don't think they are going to get to take these to their houses when they grow up.  Because these are MINE!!!!

BTW, I am really done sewing now!  I promise...no more quilts for awhile.  Tomorrow I am going to start getting things organized for school to start next week.  Really, I am, am....
