After asking my 5 year old on Monday if she knew what was going on in the News I realized she has no knowledge of what happened on Sept. 11, 2001. Sometime in the next few years I will need to teach her about the tragedies. This let me to a hunt on the Internet to see what resources are available. I came across the Sept. 11, 2001 project pack that Hands of A Child has developed and thought I would share it. This looks like an outstanding resource for homeschooling parents! This is lapbooking project kit and there is a preprinted or downloadable version. There is even a sample download so you can see the table of contents and what the lapbook will look like when you are done. It is recommended for grades 2 -8.The Table of Content includes:
Attack on the World Trade Center
Timeline
The Pentagon
Crash In PA
History of The World Trade Center
Islam
Osama Bin Laden
Men Behind the Attacks
Disaster Site
Long Term Impact
Memorial
Along with 21 Activities to do!
I have never used a project pack for a lapbook before, but this one certainly looks like it would be well worth the money. ($16.00 for E-book and $21.00 for pre-printed book.) The amount of work they have put into this project is impressive.

Just thought I'd spread the word...
