I love Renissance Festivals! It is so cool to see how people lived long ago and to think about all the zillions of things we have today that we didn't have back then. We went to one yesterday. The kids had a BLAST. It is fun to see how they can appreciate the simple life. My oldest son had a blast playing Towers (We now call it Jenga) with a waiger of the loser getting dirt rubbed on his head! LOL (No worries, my son's head will come clean!) My daughter likes seeing how they spun wool and weaved fabric. We were both enthralled by the ladies weaving cording. This is something I learned. Cords were very important in those days. It was the only fastners they had! The used them to keep their clothing on, tie down their tents, carry around their goods. You name it! I can't imagine a world without buttons, zippers and velcro! The 2 year old loved everything! The highlight of his day was when he got picked to go on stage and learn to juggle! Here he is juggling!
He's pretty good, huh! LOL
It was a very fun and educational day. I feel a lapbook coming on! LOL
