Hanukkah

This year our family had the honor of attending a Hanukkah party at a Messianic Jewish Church. Today in honor of the last night of Hanukkah I am posting a story written by my 5 year old daughter about what she learned this year about Hanukkah.

Here it is:

Hanukkah

Hanukkah is a time when Jewish people gather in their church and celebrate.

They have lots of food, songs, candles and fun! But fun isn't the meaning of Hanukkah.

The meaning of Hanukkah is celebrating the miracle of the oil.

We are grateful God saved the Jewish people!

Jesus was Jewish and through this miracle God later gave us His son as our Savior.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I love it when I get to meet new people! It was fun to look at your blog. You have so many wonderful creative posts! I miss doing all those fun things with my kids--I just have a 21 year old son and a teenage son at home now, and they really don't appreciate my "crafty" ideas! I think we have a lot in common--I grew up in the snowy midwest, too!
