Well, how about this!
Have them put their hand like this for 6... (The same as for b.)
Then have then turn their hand all the way over pointing down for 9...
You could tell them the same thing as we did for b & d. The 6 comes 1st and then the 9, because the 9 is bigger.
Does that work?
