My 12 year old finished his Astronomy Lapbook yesterday.  This has been an ongoing project for quite some time now.  He started it in January right after we had gone to the Planetarium.  He would work on it for awhile and then we would get started on some other project and this would get put away. This was a free download I got from Knowledge Box Central. To be honest, my 12 year old does not really like to do pre-made lapbooks.  He's an outside the box kind of kid and he would much rather think up what to do on his own. He didn't mind this one though since it was basically just questions on the outside of the booklets and he could decide what to put inside.  (My 6 year old on the other hand is all about cutting and pasting, so she LOVES the pre-made lapbooks!)

Folder #1
This folder has a word search plus 7 booklets. 

The booklet titles are:

What is a Light Year?
What are Sun Spots?
What is a Star?
What is an Eclipse?
What are Solar Flares?
Who was Copernicus?
Who was Galileo?

Folder #2
This folder has a large section in the middle with a place to write about each of the planets in our Solar System. 

The booklets are:

What is the Kuiper Belt?
What is Astronomy?
Explain the difference between "revolve" and "rotate".

There is also a Astronomy Vocabulary List including:

The 3rd folder includes 8 Booklets.

What is the Milky Way?

Space Shuttle Disasters

There are a few of the booklets my son did not do.  So our lapbook might look a little sparse.  However, I think overall he really enjoyed it and I know he learned a lot! 

And all I had to do was print it!  Hooray for lapbooking!!!
