We had a lovely Memorial Day!  We spent the day with 2 of our neighbors BBQing and visiting.  The food was great, the company was great, the kids were well behaved  The weather was HOT, but decent if you stayed in the shade. 

Here the kids are playing with Moon Sand which I bought at Wal-Mart Saturday.
This was a new product to me.  It is some kind of coated sand that stays damp and will not dry out.  The kids really seemed to like it.  It kept 5 kids ages 3 - 13 entertained for quite some time, so it was a winner in my book!  LOL  I do think it needs to be an outdoor toy and also it needs to be played with in a pan of some sort.  Otherwise is spreads everywhere and in a few minutes you have none left!

I bought this for the kids a few weeks ago because living the in desert we HAVE to have something to keep cool in the Summer.  We have a 3000 gallon above ground pool we have put up the last 3 years.  But, with the house being for sale I just didn't want to deal with putting the pool up.  When we have it up we have to put up a fence around it and it makes the yard look really messy.  Soooooo this summer we will be sliding instead!

My 12 year old is a little big for it, but he still had fun with his siblings and was able to cool off!

It was a great day!
