Posted in Lessons I Have Learned
My kids checked out the Curious George Movie from the Library and I just LOVED the following quote:
...Anyone can memorize facts and figures.
The real way to learn anything is to go experience it
and let your curiosity lead you.
Who's ready to learn?...
Man in the Big Yellow Hat -- Curious George The Movie 2006
I made the kids rewind the movie so I could write it down! (They are so patient with their Mother.) Who knew The Man in the Big Yellow Hat was so smart! This is the kind of homeschool Mom that I want to be! I want my kids to experience educations, not just get through it. I want them to be excited about what they are learning and to love learning. I want them to ask questions and push buttons and dive in to what interests them! I want them to let their curiosity lead them! I want them to be ready to learn. The truth is I don't always have the time and energy to lead them through all the things they need to learn. But if I can just inspire them to experience things and follow their own curiosty then the world is their oyster.
Who knew Curious George could be so inspiring?
