If you are a Mom to a boy you have for sure noticed they are quite diffrent creatures from us! LOL My 13 year old got the most wonderful book for his birthday! It's called The Dangerous Book for Boys and contrary to it's title there is nothing dangerous about it at all! LOL This is a wonderful book full of things every boy should know or know how to do. There are Latin Phrases Every Boy Should Know, The 10 Commandments, How to Build a Go Cart & Tree House, Making a Bow and Arrow, First Aid, Samplings of Shakespeare, the list goes on and on! There is so much in this book that I as a Mom would have never thought to teach my sons!
This would be a great book for a boy to work through with his Dad or even to have to read through on his own. There are even Badges and Certificates that can be downloaded at the website. I was thinking these could be awarded by Dad as they work through the book together.
The other great thing about this book is it feels like book from the past. The paper is heavy, the cover is cloth that is imprinted with black and gold lettering. It just feels good in your hands! I know my boys and their Dad are going to enjoy this book over the years. Actually, I look forward to reading it myself! Maybe it will give me some insight into the minds of my men! LOL
We have homeschooled our children from the start and we love every minute of it! This is my place to share my thoughts on homeschooling, my kids and living for the Lord. All the while being a little outside the box!!
