Since our school year has been a little discombobulated due to moving across country, I wanted my oldest son to still work on a little school over the Summer. One project he has chosen to do is a study of the presidents. What we decided is that he would make a list of all the presidents and then find one interesting fact about each. The he will write a paragraph or two about the president. Here is the list he has put together.-
George Washington was the first president.

John Adams was first to live in the White House.

Thomas Jefferson made the Louisiana Purchase

James Madison was called “Father of the Constitution”

James Monroe 3rd president to die on the 4th of July

John Quincy Adams was the first president to be another presidents son.

William Henry Harrison he died of pneumonia just 31 days after being inaugurated and giving a 2 hours speech in the rain.

I look forward to reading the whole thing when he is done. We may make it into a lapbook. My original thought was that it would make a good lapbook, but now I am thinking it may just turn out to be a really interesting report.
