Homeschooling is SO much fun! LOL Friday the mailman brought us 2 boxes with new curriculum for my FRESHMAN. Getting new curriculum is always SO exciting at our house! I started opening the one that contained my sons Algebra 1 for the year. The kids were all excited and wanted to open the other one. So I told them go ahead, without thinking. They said to me "What is it?" and I replied "It's Science." Then the screams started! LOL
I completely wasn't thinking about the fact that I ordered specimans to disects this year for Biology!
Yep, there staring up out of the box was a dead frog, crawdad, earthworm and a HUGE FISH! (You can't see the fish in the picture.) What a hoot! The kids took of running and I got at least an hour of peace and quiet! LOL I may have to carry dead specimans around more often!
I guess it was quite a shock to open a box expecting a book and finding dead things! LOL One thing is for sure...It is NEVER dull and boring around here!

How gross, but how fun! I'm assuming those are the specimens from Apologia Biology?!? We will be doing the same ones this year, so now I know what to expect when I get our box in the mail. Yuk! I'm glad they come wrapped up really well. Did you also order the lab stuff to go with them specimens? Keep us all posted on how you did.

A guest once visited our church and was shocked (and dismayed, I believe) to find a dead bird in our church freezer. She asked me what it was doing there. I said, "I'm really not sure. It's been there as long as I've been coming. Several of us homeschool so I never thought much about it." I guess it is a bit odd, huh? lol (We've since removed it)
