Wow! We have been so busy lately that we have not been doing any lapbooking. That is something that is going to change in the next few weeks! My kids have done 2 lapbooks on Christmas in past years, The 12 Days of Christmas Lapbook and a Christmas Symbols Lapbook. This year Paula at A Journey Through Learning was kind enough to send me two of her Christmas lapbooks to use with my kids.
The first one I can't wait to get started on! It is called The Birth of Jesus. The mini books for this one will fill up 3 full folders and it designed for grades 2-7. I really like it because it is not only the mini books, but it also includes a full study guide. So everything you need is in one place! The study covers more than the birth of Jesus. It includes information on Ceasar Augustus, Bethlehem, The Census and Taxing, Angels, shepherds, sheep and much more! This is going to be such a fun way to delve deeper into all the aspects of the birth of Jesus. I promise to post pictures when we are done!
The second one is called A Christmas Lapbook. It also has booklets to fill 3 folders. I didn't see an age, but it seems appropriate for approx K-3 to me. This one covers a more broad view of Christmas including booklets on Santa as well as Jesus. There are mazes, trivia and even jokes! I really like the Let's Cook section which gives you a variety of Christmas recipes to make with your family!
If you are looking for some good lapbooks to do this Christmas you might want to check these out. You will find both of these along with 2 other Christmas lapbooks HERE.
Happy Homeschooling,
Jamin
