For the first week of our Felicity study at AG Club I wanted to talk about the clothing they wore in 1774. I figured the best way to teach them was to bring some living examples! My daughter and I had fun making and wearing our dresses and the girls got a real kick out of seeing me look so ridiculous! LOL
So after we talked about mob caps, pinner aprons, stays, hip pockets, and on and on. (Boy they wore A LOT of layers!) The girls got to make a mob cap and decorate a straw hat for themselves!
Here is my daughter in her finished projects.

Getting fitted for her mob cap!

Showing off her straw hat. :^)

Working with their mom on their mob caps.

Some completed star hats.

Too cute!

What a priviledge it is to see these smiles while they are learning history!

After their hat were finished we had a tea party!

Waiting for tea...

Serving....

:^)

I love this row of mob caps! The girls are just SO adorable!!!

One last pretty girl in her hats!

Needless to say we has a FUN night! I bet the girls remember this for a long time to come!
