You asked me to marry you today, And nothing could have made me feel any happier, Even though I knew my answer had to be no. Yes, I know you love me unconditionally, And there is no doubt that I love you with all my heart. Nothing would make me happier Than the thought of spending the rest of my days with you! But, I know that God's plan is for you to marry another... I tried to explain to you that I am already married, But you didn't seem to care, You still thought I would be the perfect wife. When you looked at me with those sad eyes and asked "Well then, who will I ever marry?" I felt a mixture of sadness and joy. As I promised someday you would meet the girl of your dreams. So my precious son, No, I will not marry you. But, I want you to know that the day you asked "Mommy, when I grow up and get big will you marry me?" Is a day I will always treasure.
My
4-year-old daughter is insisting that she will marry her older brother
when she grows up! All this talk about marrying brought me back 8
years ago when that same son wanted to marry me!
This is so sweet! Jared wanted to marry me too...and Natalie told him that he couldn't marry me because he had to marry her! Now he wants to marry his cousin. We need to work on this, don't we?
My 8 year old daughter wants to marry her brother when she grows up too!!! How cute is that??? My son is 13 and of course says "I can't marry you!!" but she asks "Why?" He says "Because I am your brother!" She is so cute--she loves her big brother so much!! It's cute to see others like that!
That poem is so sweet. I remember my brother telling my mom that he was going to marry her and we all laughed. He married a girl just like her though! Linda
We have homeschooled our children from the start and we love every minute of it! This is my place to share my thoughts on homeschooling, my kids and living for the Lord. All the while being a little outside the box!!
