Posted in Lessons I Have Learned
I was reading the blog of mamaduso over at Ladies In Training.
She came up with this really great Spiritual Tag. I thought this
one would be a good one for me to do since the last movie I saw was
Polar Express 2 Christmases ago! LOL I don't get out much!
So here it goes!
How long have you been a Christian?
28 years! I had grown up in church but I not gotten the message that I needed to accept Christ as my personal Savior. I knew something was missing in my life. Every week we would go to church and I would tell myself I needed to do better and be a better person this week. Then by Tuesday I would have forgotten about God and be back to living life my way. When I was in the 7th grade I had this crush on a boy whose dad was an Assembly of God Pastor. He invited me to church.
I went, because he was cute! Well for the first time ever I got
that I needed to confess my sins and accept what Christ was freely
offering ME! Salvation. (FYI, 28 years later that "boy" is
still a very dear friend. He's now an Assembly of God Pastor
himself and he married my husband and I 17 years ago this April!)What is you favorite verse or passage?
Malachi 4:2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.
Have you led anyone to Christ?
My oldest son. (I am working on the other 2! They are still little.) I wish I could list more here. I do hope that I have lived my life in a way that I have influenced others for Christ, but just wasn't the one to get the privilege of being there when they gave their life to the Lord.
How old where you when you were born again?
I accepted Christ when I was 13.
What do you look forward to most when getting to Heaven?
Meeting Jesus face to face!!! I cannot even comprehend how wonderful that day will be!
Who do you want to see most when you get to Heaven?
My first child who went to be with the Lord before we had a chance to get aquatinted.
What bible character/hero do you want to talk to first?
Well, my first thought was Jesus, but since I already said I most looked forward to meeting Him in Heaven I think I will pick David. He was so diverse! Slayed a giant as a boy, wrote the beautiful Psalms, was a King and then was brought down by his own sinful nature. Fascinating!
What one thing do you want to be able to do in Heaven that you can't do on Earth?
EAT whatever I want and be thin! Ah, now that would be heavenly!
