jayfromcleveland -- a christian homeschool dad from cleveland, ohio

cleveland, ohio is a place that looks the same in black and white and color photographs; it is a city of sharp contrasts and shades of grey; a single city that was once two, forevermore divided along east and west; where the Sun doesnt shine at all for half the year, and yet is one of the sunniest places in the USA for the other half; the birthplace of Superman and home to many an average joe; a place of tremendous creativity... home of many artists, musicans, actors and inventors -- and an otherwise hard-knuckle, provincial midwestern city; a place where people are friendly, helpful and generous... just don't get on their bad side; a place of hope and despair, where the light of Jesus shines in many an otherwise dark heart....

As some of you may have noticed, I've been proclaimed an Honorary Brit by Mister Garrison (an Honorary Brit himself!) and Jane the Whale Lady.  And as I wrote to thank our new friends across the pond:

Bruce, wow many thanks to you and Jane! You can't imagine how much this means to me! After all, it's well known that the deepest desire of every American descendent of Fenian Spud Famine survivors is to be a subject of Her Majesty! You've helped me to take one step closer!

In honor of the occasion, I've created a new banner that all Trans-Atlantic friends can display on their blogs! I've even adopted the Queen's English for the spelling! (Sorry about placing Old Glory above the Union Jack, Old Bean, but after all, it's not still 1899!)

Anyway, since the debut of the NABO logo (at left), I've been unundated with requests (well, not really!) from HTML-impaired folks on both sides of the Atlantic who wish to extend "hands across the waters" and show their solidarity with their HSB blogger friends.

So anyway, to make everything simple for everyone, here are some simple directions that everyone can use to install the NABO logo on their blog, underneath their "Friends" list.

Read all these instructions first before changing your template!!!!

1) Go to "Edit Template" in your HSB interface;

2) In your Internet Browser menu (MS Internet Explorer) go to "Edit>Find" and search "friends."  (You're on your own if you use a different type of browser).

3) Locate the code for your "friends" section in your template code.

4) At the end of the "friends" code, copy and paste this text:

5)  ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS CLICK "PREVIEW CHANGES" BEFORE YOU SAVE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR TEMPLATE!!!!!

(If you don't like the placement, find a place in the template where you do like it.)

Hope that helps you all to display US/UK homeschool friendship and support!

NABO continues to grow in size and solidarity. Well done, old boy! Hey, Rescue Rick is amazing! We have got to start some sort of Fan Club, Life Membership to his cause, something..... That is a great find!
