You Sew Girl!
I am so excited!! Shimmer is showing an interest in learning how to sew. I LOVE sewing so I am really thrilled. I think she will want to make something sparkley, shiny, glittery...something very neat!! I'm also going to suggest that she make something to give to a charity...like blankets or pillows for sick children. I think that will be very rewarding for her since she has a little brother who has a chronic illness. I'll have to start looking for a little sewing machine!!
I found this website about young people sewing... http://www.sewyoungsewfun.com/default.html

It really is rewarding when children love and yearn to follow mom, isn't it? I am happy for you, and wish you both the best of luck in this new journey.

That's great! Thanks for posting the link as well. My daughter Emily (6) is very interested in learning how to sew, crochet and cross-stitch. I bought her a child's cross-stitch kit and she is having a good time with that but I'm always looking for new ideas.
Have fun!
