The Morning Walk

The Morning Walk

When Anne and I go out a walk,
We hold each other's hand and talk
Of all the things we mean to do
When Anne and I are forty-two.

And when we've thought about a thing,
Like bowling hoops or bicycling,
Or falling down on Anne's balloon,
We do it in the afternoon.

us two

Wherever I am, there's always Pooh,
There's always Pooh and Me.
Whatever I do, he wants to do,
"Where are you going today?" says Pooh:
"Well, that's very odd 'cos I was too.
Let's go together," says Pooh, says he.
"Let's go together," says Pooh.

"What's twice eleven?" I said to Pooh.
("Twice what?" said Pooh to Me.)
"I think it ought to be twenty-two."
"Just what I think myself," said Pooh.
"It wasn't an easy sum to do,
But that's what it is," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what it is," said Pooh.

"Let's look for dragons," I said to Pooh.
"Yes, let's," said Pooh to Me.
We crossed the river and found a few-
"Yes, those are dragons all right," said Pooh.
"As soon as I saw their beaks I knew.
That's what they are," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what they are," said Pooh.

"Let's frighten the dragons," I said to Pooh.
"That's right," said Pooh to Me.
"I'm not afraid," I said to Pooh,
And I held his paw and I shouted "Shoo!
Silly old dragons!"- and off they flew.

"I wasn't afraid," said Pooh, said he,
"I'm never afraid with you."

So wherever I am, there's always Pooh,
There's always Pooh and Me.
"What would I do?" I said to Pooh,
"If it wasn't for you," and Pooh said: "True,
It isn't much fun for One, but Two,
Can stick together, says Pooh, says he. "That's how it is," says Pooh.

the end

The End

When I was One,
I had just begun.

When I was Two,
I was nearly new.

When I was Three,
I was hardly Me.

When I was Four,
I was not much more.

When I was Five,
I was just alive.

But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.

we have started lent!!!!!!!!

monday morning we started lent. No eating dairy or meat products until april 27! last night we had a service tonight we will have a service and every night of this week we will have a service. I am part of the choir soooooo I stood for the whole service last night. It was from 7p.m. to around 8:30p.m. It was dark and quiet and very nice, I liked It. Tonight I get to make dinner and I will probably make soy cheese pizza. The only problem with the pizza is the dough because it is very hard to roll out. I roll it out and then it shrinks back in. Tonight my sister has ballet!!!!!!!!

funny grandparents and granchildren stories

She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful eyes of her young granddaughter as she'd done many times before. After she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, 'But Gramma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!'
My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He asked me how old I was, and I told him, '62.' He was quiet for a moment, and then he asked, 'Did you start at 1?'
After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into old slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. Finally, she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard the three-year-old say with a trembling voice, 'Who was THAT?'
A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like: 'We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods.' The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she said, 'I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!'
My grandson was visiting one day when he asked, 'Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?' I mentally polished my halo while I asked, 'No, how are we alike?' 'You're both old,' he replied.
A little girl was diligently pounding away on her grandfather's word processor. She told him she was writing a story. 'What's it about?' he asked. 'I don't know,' she replied. 'I can't read.'
I didn't know if my granddaughter had learned her colors yet, so I decided to test her. I would point out something and ask what color it was. She would tell me and was always correct. It was fun for me, so I continued. At last she headed for the door, saying sagely, 'Grandma, I think you should try to figure out some of these yourself!'
When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the lights off until we were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects. Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them before I did, Billy whispered, 'It's no use, Grandpa. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights.'
When my grandson asked me how old I was, I teasingly replied, 'I'm not sure.' 'Look in your underwear, Grandpa,' he advised. 'mine says I'm four to six.'
A second grader came home from school and said to her grandmother, 'Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today.' The grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool. 'That's interesting,' she said, 'how do you make babies?' 'It's simple,' replied the girl. 'You just change 'y' to 'i' and add 'es'.'
Children's Logic: 'Give me a sentence about a public servant,' said the teacher. The small boy wrote: 'The fireman came down the ladder pregnant.' The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. 'Don't you know what pregnant means?' she asked. 'Sure,' said the young boy confidently. 'It means carrying a child.'
A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog's duties. 'They use him to keep crowds back,' said one child. 'No,' said another, 'he's just for good luck.' A third child brought the argument to a close. 'They use the dogs,' she said firmly, 'to find the fire hydrants...

a story that I wrote!!!!!!!!!!!

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL by jean jacket Once there was a pretty little girl named aly. The only thing wrong in her life was that she was lame, but aly didn't ever complain really. She had two older brothers(victor and michael) and one younger sister(alicia). Aly's father had died in a bad car crash two years earlier. Without him the family barely got by. The children's mother sewed and did laundery for neighbors, while michael and victor skipped school an worked at a dinner. With their little bit of money the family bought a small apartment on the third floor of a run down building. Aly rarely went outside because of all the stairs and because the elevator was broken. One day Alicia and her mother went to the store leaving Aly to watch the never ending rush of cars below on the street. "don't worry dear I will be back in about a hour, nothing will happen to you"said her mother. she was greatly mistaken. After they left Aly, tired of watching the carsfell asleep in her favorite chair. On the 5th floor the danger that Aly's mother said wouldn't happen did happen. A mrs. Skew( who was a widow) had gone to work and left two things out that didn't seem safe to leave alone. She left her big black cat roger out and her oil lamp lit(she didn't like electricity). Roger was a curious and naughty cat. After Mrs. Skew left roger jumped on the kitchen table sniffing as he walked around. As he sideled passed the lamp he pushed it off. Meowing loudly he jumped off the table and out the open window. In minutes Mrs. Skew's apartment was ablaze. In no time at all the 5th floor was on fire. Luckily no one but Mrs. Skew lived on level 5 and everyone else(except aly) were out. Aly slept on as the dangerous fire started burning the 4th floor. "ding ding ding apartment on fire, east 5th street" the buzzer called out in the fire station. Jumping into their coats the firefighters jumped into their big red life savers and drove out the big double doors. The fire chief speed ahead and arrived at the scene first. Close following came the four big red trucks with their sirens blaring and their lights flashing. Aly slept on. She finally woke up when her smoke alarm went off. She smelled smoke and peering out the window saw the flames. Screaming for help she frantically tried to get out of her chair. She fell stomach first twisting her left leg in the process. pain shot through her leg as she lay screaming, praying and crying at the same time. Her pleas were heard by god and one brave fireman. Jack ran to the fire truck and got his mask and oxygen tank on. The rest of his outfit followed quickly. "jack what are you doing," mary said, Mary was the fire chief and Jack's girlfriend, " you can't go in their it's too dangerous." "I have to mary, someone's in there, I heard a scream,"he said through his mask. "It was only the wind, don't be so silly jack," mary started to say, but jack was already gone. Aly didn't know how long she lay there crying. Many times she would call for her dad,"daddy please save me." Crawling across the bedroom floor despite the pain she made it to the living room. Flames could be seen from underneath the kitchen door. She struggled to the hallway by the front door, and that was were joe found her. "daddy I knew you would com for me" aly whispered as jack picked her up, for he had seen how her legs lay limp and useless. In that moment jack's heart went out to that poor little girl as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He hunched through the door and hurried downstairs. The 2nd floor was still very dangerous he found out when a burning beam fell close by his arm just grazing Aly's stocking feet. Once jack looked down at Aly's face and he saw her pale lips moving in prayer. Now jack wasn't a man of prayer, but in that split second he realized that with gods help he and this little girl would get out safely. So despite hi not praying for a long time jack joined Aly in her prayer to their heavenly father. Meanwhile mary was outside sweating because of he heat and because of her anxiety. Now just like jack she wasn't very christian like. When she went to church(which was practicly never) she would sit in the back and look at photos on her iphone, but without realizing it she knelt down in front of the fire and asked gor to bring jack back out of that burning building safely. During this whole time you are probably wondering were Aly's mother is. Well after the shopping trip they stopped at the library really quickly(not really, the were there for TWO HOURS). Little did Aly's mother know, but right as she an alicia stepped out of the library jack carrie Aly out of the burning apartment building. "oh jack I knew you could do it,"said mary as the exhausted hero walked towards her. " I didn't do it by myself, I had a handsome young man helping me to dodge the falling beams." aly still clinging to jack said"he was an angel, right daddy?" Mary looked at jack puzzled, but jack only shrugged not knowing himself. Right at that moment Aly's mother arrive franticly looking for her daughter. In a few minutes everything about Aly's dad and about the rescue were known. Jack sank onto the curb with Aly still holding tightly to him just as the ambulance arrived. The Parame -dics gently lifted her onto the cot and into the back of the van. The fire engines left taking mary and jack while the rest of Aly's family spent the night the mission. The whole story was in the newspaper the next day. Jack was an overnight hero and everyone who read the newspaper took pity on aly and in a month she had two surgeries on her legs and in a couple of months she was able to walk like everyone else. Mary was quite happy with all the fame Jack was getting and she and Jack became true christians. Two years after the fire mary and Jack were married. Aly of course was part of it.

"That's how it is," says Pooh.

the end

Posted By jean jacket
The End

When I was One,
I had just begun.

When I was Two,
I was nearly new.

When I was Three,
I was hardly Me.

When I was Four,
I was not much more.

When I was Five,
I was just alive.

But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.

we have started lent!!!!!!!!

Posted By jean jacket
monday morning we started lent.

Posted By jean jacket

Posted By jean jacket
Aly of course was part of it.

soooooooo we just finished seeing two moody films. one on the blood system and heart and one on creation. I liked the creation one best. It showed the stages of a swallow tale butterfly, and the outer solar system.........cool. the blood system is almost like a very busy hyway. did you know that george washington died of a bad throat infection? the doctors bleed him too much also. In the creation movie it showed in fast moition flowers blooming. They were sooooooo lovely.... they also made the clouds in the sky go pretty fast. I was very impresed with all the things the guy had to say. great is our god!!!!!!!!! oh I almost forgot, he showed the solar syatem also. there are sooooooo many stars, and soooooo many milkyways. My dad is going to ashland tomorow..sniff!!!!!!!
