Welcome to Show & Tell Friday everyone! This week I am going to take you on a little trip to one of my favorite places. (Click on the link below.) It's a link to my blog template playground. But be sure to come back and leave me a comment here, though.
This "playground" is my latest design in the works. I am not sure the graphics will stay the same, but the backgrounds are going to be used. I probably spend too much time playing over there. I find myself tinkering more than reading other blogs and comments, so I will have to strike a balance.
I really love playing with templates. It brings me great joy to combine different patterns and colors. I love finding new "free" linkware, too, so if you have a favorite site please tell me. My goal is to do this without buying graphics for now. Although, maybe for my birthday or Christmas, I might ask for a set! (Something shabby chic, perhaps.)
So it is with great pleasure that I send you to my playground....
It's beautiful! Great job! I'm so glad you have a little space just for fun. Yes, templates are addictive and time consuming :)
((((hugs))))
P.S. I sent you an e-mail.
Your too funny hee hee but ...VERY talented my friend. (0= I really love what you have done. Will you share the free link ware sites with me...PLEASE. (0;
So... you have that blog JUST to play with the template design?? What a super idea! I haven't played with mine because even though I have the few changes backed up, I don't want to make a mess of things and have it look weird for readers. Like I have so many. LOL Maybe I will make myself a playground too so I can experiment without subjecting others to my mistakes.
This is such a foreign language to me that it may as well be written in Chinese. I don't understand how to change templates, and I even read the "how to" post in the forums. I told my husband I wanted him to help me make mine cuter like everyone else's blog! ha ha.
I don't think I have enough decided yet to post an open house blog. I don't really have a schedule nailed out, or curriculum/plan...basically all I know is that we are going to do it...and we are excited. I am a very very last minute kind of person...always have been...but it usually turns out great. If I posted a picture of our homeschool space it would be a hollowed out basement room with junk in it. Actually, it might be fun to post a before and after blog about the whole process...my in-laws are going to help us get it finished this month, and hopefully after tomorrow I will have some direction in the curriculum department. Thanks for posting and being a loyal friend..I have been super busy with lots of stuff...my dad has been in and out of ER and just lots of things going on...I WILL PERSEVERE though!
TTYL!
I absolutely love your shabby chic template! I'd love a room in those colours! I also checked out your photos from Rocky Ridge. I have a 10yr old who is a big Laura fan. To visit there one day would be so neat!
So...you have 2 HSB blogs? One is a template playground? Is that where you try out templates and if they crash you don't lose all your good stuff on the HSB blog?
Wow, I wish I had your talent. Right now my major goal in "template" life is to figure out how to post the 3rd cover at the top of my template, next to Book 2, without completely crashing my template. Worse....computer whiz son just left the building to go see a movie. Gulp. I might chicken out and wait for his return....
I have often wondered the same thing about the silverware drawer, how do those crumbs get in there.
Have a great weekend, I am heading over to your playground for a quick look.

Hello. My name is Jenn and I am striving to be a servant of Jesus Christ. I am a wife of 13 years to my best friend and a stay at home mom of 3 wonderful home educated children ages 10, 8, 6 here in beautiful Central Indiana. Titus 2:5 says to older women that we are to teach younger women "to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." This blog is my way of encouraging others to be Busy At Home.
