For Today ~ Monday, May 12, 2008
Outside My Window...After a rainy Sunday, it is so good to see the sun again. I can see the birds are enjoying their new feeders given to me for Mother's Day.
I am thinking... Help me Jesus with my little brood today. I've already had to send my little rebel up to her room, not to come down until she is ready to do her assignment without compromise. This heart attitude of hers is heavy on my heart and frequently the subject of prayers.
I am thankful for...my even tempered, mild mannered boys, the good message preached yesterday, my family's love and devotion.
From the kitchen...
Monday ~ Spaghetti and Meatballs
Tuesday ~ Chicken and Rice
Wednesday ~ Pizza ala Me
Thursday ~ Ham and Beans
Friday ~ Chicken Parmesan
Saturday ~ Roasted Chicken
Sunday ~ Hamburgers
I am creating... a legacy, little by little, day by day.
I am going... to be home more this week! Last week we were running here and there doing good, but this week we need a break.
I am wearing... black yoga pants, a soft white shirt and my favorite purple fleece jacket.
I am reading... The Daily Bible, and a book about getting rid of
stuff.
I am hoping... to make a difference for Jesus today.
I am hearing...the washing machine, a fan, the faint tones of my new wind chime, the boys chattering while they eat their lunch.
Around the house... the weekend toll has taken place. I need to get the kids busy cleaning, dusting, vacuuming as a team.
One of my favorite things... is a sunshine filled day spent at home! Really, I get energized and so much more gets done when it is sunny.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... I plan to go see my grandparents later in the week to see how grandma is doing at home if she is released on Wednesday. I would also love to plant my shade barrel and get the last annuals planted.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Taken last summer in Arkansas. Grace sketching the mountains. I was looking through my photo album and remembered how much I enjoyed my time in Arkansas. We hope to go back this fall.
