It feels so good to be on this side of VBS. Truly, the kids and ladies I worked with were great and the week could not have gone more smoothly. We had over 1000 kids attend each day. Our class of 5th graders was the largest with over 60! I thank the Lord that they were the best mannered children I have ever been with! And everything was so organized that no one had time to get into mischief.
This weekend I will be preparing for my sweet girl's 9th birthday on Monday. I need to make her a giant cookie. She decided on a M&M cookie. I am not sure what decoration theme she wants. That is typical. I won't know until the moment arrives! We've already changed from cupcakes to an ice cream cake, to the giant cookie.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend enjoying your family. I'll be around...hopefully.
How great that it went so smoothly. And wow, that is a lot of kids. It sounds like a great weekend is planned for you all. I hope you have a blessed time. Happy Birthday to Grace. :)

Wow, Jenn! I didn't know how big your VBS was. That's amazing. We started having troubles running one with over 500 kids. We knew 1000 was coming, and it was a pretty daunting effort. So, they changed to a family VBS...and then tried sports camps. This year is quiet. Too quiet?
I am so glad you got a chance to participate. And, I'm really glad for you that it was a blessing with well-behaved kids who enjoyed the whole week. I hope lots of kids who never have met the "real Jesus" in the middle of all the fun. :')
I'm glad your VBS went to well. That's great! I didn't realized Grace's and PC's birthdays were so close. PC's b-day is on the 19th and we just celebrated it yesterday.
