~ Question I am pondering... ~

How do I do it all without becoming overwhelmed???
* Leave a Blessing

Aug. 14, 2008 - Coffee

Posted by 3bugs
I call it coffee. Plus I am learning the art of asking for help. We are expecting baby #4 any day and my husband keeps getting stuck somewhere far away everytime he flies. So I am drinking my coffee, making a few calls everyday to line up rides to the hospital and praying a lot. You will get through it all.

HA! HA! HA!

This is the question that I think every homeschooling mom asks herself. In my case, I ask it quite regularly which is the reason I laughed out loud when I read your question.

I don't have any profound advise for you since I am there with ya. But I think that prayer and coffee are a great start :-)

Have a blessed weekend my friend.

I don't know, Jenn, I'm there, too. I try to remember Elizabeth Elliot's words, "Do the next thing." And pray! The Lord doesn't require more from us than we can give him. Maybe some of the things that overwhelm us aren't from him...?

There is no such thing as doing it all. :) Seriously, you won't get it all done, something will be left out. Either the house won't be perfect, but the schooling will get done, or the schooling won't get done, but the running around will, or the running around will get done, but not the extra activities. It's a myth that just because we are SAHM that homeschool, that means we can get everything accomplished every day. We can't always have cooked from scratch meals, along with perfect homes, with a 'perfect' day of school and all those extra activities. I don't know any woman that does it all. Something suffers. So you just have to figure out which things you don't mind suffering. And for me, that changes day by day. :)

I am sooooo with you today! I am overwhelmed. I am tired. I am so many things.

I'll pray for both of us.

I'll also assume God doesn't want us to do it ALL. *lol*

It is funny you asked. Really I mean funny. B/c I was saying to myself " Lord , How do I create "margine" in my life ????" I totally agree with JoAnn on this one !!! Something has to give. You have to decide on what that is. I try to live a simple life but simple doesn't mean easy. I am trying to think myself what has to give.

So I am sending you a HUGE ((((((HUG)))))) my SSiC and friend. Pray and the Lord will lead you in the way you need to go. I too am praying for this.

In Him<><
