"I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position. Attitude keeps me going or cripples my progress... It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitude is right, there's no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me. "
~Charles Swindoll
So, how's your attitude today?

A couple days ago, my attitude was starting to sink into the dumps. I felt a lot like the cat in the above picture. The newness of our sick-routine had worn off. I was growing wearing of spraying, swabbing, washing, and praying. I was so sad that Trevor was sick for his big week. I was more than a little worried we would all soon be sick, too. I was mad that we'd not be able to do all the fun things we had planned for this week.
I had been praying about my bad attitude, when I decided to tell my husband, who as it turns out, knew all about my bad attitude of late. (Turns out I was not doing a good job of hiding it!) It took my husband reminding me of our many blessings to "snap" myself back into "the game." I am so thankful for him! I feel so silly now, thinking such discouraging thoughts.
"What the mind dwells on, expands."
~Norman Vincent Peale
All this to say, I want to encourage you today. If you find yourself getting discouraged or under the weight of heavy trials, please tell someone. Or better yet, ask them to pray with you. It just may lighten your burden a little and help you to find new strength to carry on.
Have a blessed weekend whatever your situation.
~Jenn
11Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.
12I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.
13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
