Dancin' and Milk Cows

Sorry I didn't blog last night.  Things got really busy and it was 9:00 before we even finished with the animals.  But anyway, I'm back to blogging now.

Okay!  I guess I'll blog about the dance first because that's what I have pictures of right now.  But I've got to show you one picture before I say anything else:

June and I don't look anything alike, do we?  I look sad or something, but I was really just hot.  I had a great time.  :)

Okay, moving on.

Dancing.  I think this was the Posties Jig.  My favorite dance and the only one I missed.  :-/  No, now that I look at it closer, they are reeling.  So I think this is either the Virgina Reel or Chasing the Fox.

Mom didn't dance.  She sat and talked.  Isn't that boring?  Just kidding, I like sitting and talking, too, I'd just rather dance.  :)

In between dances the boys would arm wrestle and play Saber Wars.  Jacob taught me how to play Saber Wars on the way home from the dance and it's like arm wrestling but you stick your index finger out and try to poke your opponent with it.  But no poking the arms or face.  Don't want to poke anybody's eyeballs out.

Don't know what's going on here.  Maybe they were arm wrestling and Jessica got Joshua down?  Or maybe he just fell down and Jessica pointed and laughed.  I really don't know.

Dad was holding Jodi, that's why I was making that face.  Jodi thought it was funny.

Aha!  I found a picture of Jacob and someone playing Saber Wars:

Now for Buttercup.  This is the only picture we have of her.  It was taken in Flemington right before we left her old home.  I took it with Dad's phone and uploaded it to Facebook.

I just love the way Jerseys look.  With the white around their nose.  They're so cute.  All the way through Springfield people were looking at her and smiling.  So now you know.  If you are sad, look at a picture of a Jersey milk cow and it'll cheer you up.  :)

Anna, that's awesome.  :)  I guess I'll see you this weekend then.  :D

Oh, and the pictures are kind of grainy because most of them were taken with Dad's phone.  The ones that aren't grainy are the ones I stole from the Covingtons.  :)

Adieu. Adios. Au revoir. Ciao. Cheerio. Shalom. Bye. :)

Ha Ha! Great pictures! My mom would probably do the same as your mom, sit and talk. And then she would give the same excuse!!! Why are you not in dress or a skirt? (Just kidding, I would be in pants to!) See you this weekend!

Yes, Buttercup is a girl. We use her for milking. Jersey milk has a lot of cream. :)

Yeah, we get milk fresh from a Jersey cow, and the cream is great! Sometimes it is a little to thick, but oh well. Do you drink cream or do you use it for other things? My mom makes homemade whipped cream.
