Oct. 3, 2008 - Another Update On Jenny Love

I just wanted everyone to know that the dr put me on bedrest 1 week before my due date   .  Im soooooooooooo  bored.  but thats ok he must have a reason.  Anyways  heres whats going on.   When i stand for more than a few minutes at a time or i start doing something my chest feels tight, then i have a hard time breathing.  then my head feels like its spinning, then i start seeing black spots and  sparkles and i get a headache.  i had blacked out twice already since tuesday so that is why hr put me on bedrest.  however i dont understand why he didnt just put me in the hospital and induce me.  im due on the 8th of this month  but i really REALLY dont want to have this baby on the 8th because that is the day that my friends daughter was killed in a car accident exactly one year ago from the 8th.  So please be praying that it wont be that day and that my body starts doing something.  my body is refusing to let me have this baby just as it did with my son.  i havent done anything as far as dilating...losing the mucus plug, or anything.  i would greatly appreciate your prayers.

Sep. 16, 2008 - for my friend viola

I know that i need to update my blog and my friend viola really wants me to.  so here it goes.

I have exactly 3 more weeks til my baby girl is due to arrive.  my son is growing like crazy.  and hes my little tornado.  but i gotta love him.  My hubby just got a promotion so yay for him.  he is now the co manager of andys restaurant in el dorado, ar.  he got a raise so things concerning money should start looking a tidbit brighter.

I have a drs appointment tomorrow and hes is going to check me to see how i am as far as dilating goes.  please pray that i start dilating because i had a really hard time with my son because i wasnt dilating.  i was in labor for 47 1/2 hours with him and let me just tell yall it wasnt pleasant.    so i dont want that hard of labor with her.

We are so excited.  We have a baby shower on sunday.  yay  as we have hardly anything for her yet.    because money has been soooooooooooo tight.  oh her name is charity-anne jeneé love.  Charity means love.  anne means grace.  jeneé  means God answered me.  for those who would like to know.  and charity-anne is her first name.  but anyways im so happy im getting a baby shower.  it is definately going to help a lot.  God is sooooooooo good.

Well i guess i will post tomorrow to let yall know what the dr said how far i am coming along in having this little bundle of joy.    she can come anytime after the baby shower and we get things set up for her.  so really anytime after next wednesday the 24th.  but not the 24th as that is her pawpaws birthday and he will let it get to his head.      hahaha.  well i guess i better go for sure.

Love,

Jenny

P.S.  me and my hubby are nicknaming her thumper because she just loooooooves to kick and she kicks hard.  i thought my son was active...thats good thought because it lets me know that she is ok.

there you go viola, now you got something to read.

Sep. 5, 2008 - The Simple Womans Daybook for September 5, 2008

Original Home of The Simple Woman\

 For Today...

Outside my Window...It is dark outside and the crickets are making noise

I am thinking...that i would like my 15 month old son to get well and my hubbys foot would get better and not cause so much pain for him.

From the learning rooms...im singing my son the abc's and 1-2 buckle my shoe lullaby style

I am thankful for...that my hubby works hisself so hard just to provide for his family even when he is so much pain

From the kitchen...i need to put away the clean dishes and sweep and mop my floors

I am wearing...comfy maternity clothes

I am reading...the Bible every night as a family and doing family devotions.  we are in Psalms right now.

I am hoping...to get caught up on my house and stuff that needs mailing this week.

I am creating...tea wallets for future tea swaps and personal item holder wallets for the moms friendship circle christmas gifts..

I am hearing...my son "rearranging the house"  (positive way of saying destroying it)
Around the house...i need to put things back that my baby decided to "rearrange"

One of my favorite things...is spending time with my family.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...get ready for the moms meeting on monday, clean my house, do laundry, and finish the tea wallets to get ready to start working on mittens...another project my mother in law and i are working on for christmas for our kids at church, and decorating the nursery...again.

Apr. 30, 2008 - Apr. 28, 2008 - BFS #25 - Pay It Forward

Posted in Blogger Friend School

Hello Ladies!  I pray that everyone is having a great week and that your mountains have become your molehills.  If that makes sense to anyone but me...LOL.  Thank you for submitting some new ideas for me to use.   I got this idea from Pat and her beautiful daughter-in-love, Jenny in an email about two weeks ago, so I decided to use it first.  I quoted her email here to give the directions.

"what if you took Jennys idea about showers of blessings and if we all told about a time God showered us with a blessing and how we paid it forward to bless someone else or how we had done something for another and in turn were blessed."  Share a verse or worship song that touches your heart for this assignment.

A few weeks ago my family and I had $100 that we had lost and we had very very little groceries in the house. This was very unexpected. Well my in-laws gave us $100 to go get groceries and not expecting anything back in return.  It was such a blessing.  Well we were able to pay it forward back to them here recently.  It was nothing like what they did for us but they underwent an unexpected family emergency and they have an elderly lady there who is nearly bedridden but is still able to get in a wheelchair and allow someone to push her.  well its my grandmother in law.  She is also a diabetic.  Anyways, my mother in law was unable to go anywhere at the time because her vehicle wasnt at home and she hadnt been able to go grocery shopping yet and didnt have anything to eat for her.  So my hubby and I were able to cook her some food and take it over there and feed them a meal.  and they were able to feed her.  I know it was something so small but we were so grateful just to be able to do that little thing for them. they do so much for us that we were just thrilled to pay it forward back to them.  My song that I chose that touches my heart is called "God Loves You"

God Loves You

Hope, like a flower will push through the smallest crack in your broken heart

And out of the deep darkest night will shine the brightest burning star

Oh its there like a half remembered song

the thing thats so familiar but have known all along

God loves you and He wants you to know

He is with you You are not alone

HE will see you through.  God Loves you

Tears are just water and salt but a thimble full can make oceans wide

But trust that just one gentle wind can sail you to the other side

Oh its there like a whisper on the breeze

the truth thats so familiar but so hard to believe

God loves you and HE wants you to know

HE is with you you are not alone

HE will see you through.  God loves you

You dont have to be anywhere near perfect

You dont ever have to prove a thing

You are loved you are loved

So far beyond your imagination

God loves you and He wants you to know

He is with you you are not alone

He will see you through.  God loves you

He loves you He loves you

Apr. 10, 2008 - Big Blessing

My family and I lost $100 a month that comes in and we were counting on it to buy groceries with it.  it was so unexpected and we were given no notice.  Now im gonna brag on my in-laws.  they bought us $115 worth of groceries.  and my moma-in-law took me to go get them too.  When we found out that we lost that money coming in I started praying and balling like a big cry baby and asking God how we were gooing to afford our groceries because we had minimal amount of groceries in our house.  and when i say minimal i mean we had 1 meal left to go.  my hubby wasnt going to get paid for another 2 weeks. So i started balling and praying and God came through for us once again.  they are such a blessing to us.  Does anyone else have a blessing that they would like to share?  mine was huge!!!!  God is so good.

Thanks God and Moma-in-law!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

What's Cookin' or Not?!

As spring is among us and summer is approaching my family and I slowly steer away from the big hot dinners and more to the salads, sandwiches and fresh fruit.  We'll be doing lots of canning and preserving foods this summer, so I won't feel like cooking big meals every night like I do now.

For this week's assignment I thought it would be fun to share our dinner plans for the night or if you're organized enough for the week.  You can include pictures if you desire.  Also tell what your family likes to drink, if you have desserts or not.  If you want to then take this assignment and let all the children in your life make dinner for the night.   Please add your favorite verse for this assignment as it might be an encouragement for someone else.  This week's assignment is short and sweet so have fun with it.

we are having spaghetti tonight.  Our favorite desserts is my hubbys is peanut butter cookies (which i will make for him and also cheesecake but hes only getting the cookies) and mine is chocolate chip cookies especially when they are still hot and soft.  like they melt in your mouth,  yummy to my tummy.  My son likes to eat whatever hes given he has no preference he just loves to eat.  hes 10 months old now.  growing boys. hahaha. our favorite drink is mine happens to be dr. pepper or yoohoos.  My hubbys is sweet tea.  and my son loves tea and juice and all kinds of stuff.  I think i hit everything.  that was fun.  thanks for this assignment.
