For the HOLIDAYS!

Monday we simply went over family trees and how we go back to David and Jesus.

Tuesday , I went to the library and found some AWESOME DVDs!!!!!   Firefighter safety and telling time!  Both--dh is enthralled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  YAY!!!!!  No more drawing millions of clocks, plus there are songs and rhymes! 

Ds aced his two tests Friday!  YAY!!!  I was so impressed!!

100 with simple addition on a worksheet and 102 on an oral exam in Science on environments (the desert)

So today I have some errands to run so we will cover writing, and some simpler math that is "required" that he know, but will be fun for him b/c hw knows it already!  SWEET!!!

When you feel bad emotionally, physically, and unsupported do you get thru your day?

We are making it, but I am just down.

School was great today!  My ds did so good on his math, I was very proud.  His older sister helped me and rallyed their little sister into another room to work on shapes.

PE was good!  I learned a cool game that they all enjoyed.  Science intirgued ds to the point we had to come look up more info online.  Spanish bored him, b/c he thinkgs he knows everything.   Whatever 

His writing is improving greatly!  I am one proud mama today as far as school is concerned!

So tomorrow our extra activity is sign language and I will be quizzing my ds on his math.

I pray he does a good job!

NOW for after school, disobedience and disrespect are his middle names!  And it is making me CRAZY!  He is going to start taking a nap daily, whether he likes it or not.  I hope that helps, b/c I won't take too much disrespect and ugliness.  I wasn't allowed to do it to my parents and neither should my kids.

During my morning devotional this verse rang in my mind and heart:

20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Thank the Lord, He lives in me!

As far as HSing today--it is PARK DAY!  PTL!  I pray the heat isn't too unbearable and that we have an awesome time fellowshipping with one another from UCCW, Union County Christian Women!

I have decided to make it more fun for the next few weeks and then, we will apply what he has learned to paper.  I plan on a shorter day too.  And I pray God helps me every step of this journey.

I have been awake since 5am!   So I have hung out 2 loads of laundry and made the House rules with the marble system.  We are going to see how it goes thru out the house.  I will keep you all updated!

I keep thinking I have Sat & Sun off, but my mind reels about what is next.  So much that my sleep is hindered.  Our 1st field trip has been cancelled due to funds, but a local Christian group I am in is having park day.  Plenty of us HS, so I think it'll be a great time for the kids to get out!  But before the temps reach 101 like they are calling for. 

This evening I will be praying and deciding what my ds really needs to begin Kindergarten.  Evaluation time for me and him.

As a teacher, time to be the Mama!!!!!  We are going to the library though.  My two smaller children love books and to God I am so thankful for that!  I wish my older one had that love of books.

Then errands and then home and relaxation time!!!  PTL

I need to work on the laundry, BUT that will have to wait until after I have some mom time.  I am grateful to my dh that he made the kids leave me alone for awhile last night just to answer emails.  Whew!

Was rough!  My ds wouldn't cooperate, had a bad attitude, and lost a battle with Math problems he could do 2 weeks ago.  He thinks it ALL should be fun and games but I feel he should sit still when he is told and do his work and I am not loading it on him.  I still haven't added Social Sciences in and I have combined Writing/character trait and Reading/Science.

I want to scream and cry and SLEEP!  PTL, tomorrow is the weekend!!!!!!!  I have to run errands!!!!

I plan to re-arrange a few things next week and PTL that as a HSing mom I can!  KWIM?

I could go to bed right now.   And it is only 8:20pm here.  I am a night owl and this is wearing me out!  I plan to make it less strenuous next week.  I dove in too hard, too fast, n my own opinion.  With high expectations.  He is 5!  I have to keep reminding myself.

My dh thinks I am nute for blogging it, and our ds wanted to HS all day!!!!  Our dd wasn't so keen on it, LOL.

I can't sleep.  I have been up the past 2 nights between 3 and 4am.  I make myself lay back down.  I pray these gitters go away soon!!

OK today was the 1st day and it wasn't that bad.  I found places I need to be more organized and need to figure out HOW to do it.

We started at 8:30 and had 1 stretch break and 1 snack time.  I was surprised to see the marble system working w/o me raising my voice!!  PTL!!!

We did Icebreakers and some fun favorites games, went over expectations and rules.

Bible Story time on the computer, re-inacted the Israelites marching around Jericho and then the walls fell down with a SHOUT!!!

We did writing and incoorporated our character trait--respect.  She drew a picture of Jericho falling down.

Then math!  She colored a page in one of her coloring books, very contently.

Wilson was so mad b/c the day was over and he wanted to keep on learning and after my knock on the head, I told him we'd have short days.  But that was from 8:30--11:30 and that was sufficient until we add Science and reading which we will add soon enough. 

Before naptime (at 2pm) we looked over the pics of the raptors we will be going to see in a little over a week--YAY!!  And I woke up before Sarah and Wilson and I read on Starfall for 30 minutes--very cool!

I did get to bed early with my sleep aids.  Whew!  But I am up and showered and now waiting on THEM!  LOL

I will let you all know how it goes.  I think it will be ok.  I was able to do my Bible study and shower too--yay!  And here came one of my rugrats!   

So if I am not wiped out--I will update later today!

And I have been up since 3am.  I did whack my forehead pretty good though yesterday so I was in bed by 7pm.  I am going to the Billy Graham Library today for my own field trip and can't wait!!!!!! 

I will update on how it goes.  I am going with the senior citizens of my church and am so excited!  I didn't know if I'd be able to go last night but I am up and excited.  The quarter size knot on my head only hurts when I touch it so I'm just not touching it.

I have to get the kids snacks ready and me too.  But 1st my Bible study! 

I am clutzy and haven't been sleeping well and shut my head i the door of the car, so I have a huge knot as big around as a quarter and it is poking out about 1/2 inch.
It may stall my trip tomorrow to the Billy Graham Library that I REALLY WANT to go to, as I get migraines so easily. Please pray God won't let me get a migraine. It is already a purpleish//pinkish//blue. Right above my left eyebrow.

Now about HSing, I am introduced the "marble system" to Wilson for rewards and demerits.  So we will see.  I wanted a practice day before Wed gets here.  We may have 2 practice days if I don't feel better tomorrow.
