Here are the pictures from the projects I did in "Needlework Skills Book:1 A Handsewing Primer by Rebekah Wilson".
Lesson 1: 12 Handsewing Stitches - Stitch Sampler
Lesson 2: 17 Embroidery Stitches - Embroidery Pattern
Lesson 3: Gingham Embroidery - Tea/Breadcloth (Top left corner shown. I put Snowflake stitches in all the corners and I did running stitches all the way around. I stitched my name and the year in the top left corner. I will probably be adding more rows of stitches later on.)
Lesson 4: Basic Crochet Stitches - Potholder
Lesson 5: Crocheted Dishcloths Patterns - There are a total of 3 patterns. I did the shell dishcloth.
Lesson 6: Quilted Table Runner
Lesson 7: I am working on a baby bib that is embroidered and quilted with a crocheted edging. The last lesson is hardanger and the project is a pincusion.

P.S. Please pray for us from a loss of our puppy, Luther. He came to our house about 3 months ago and he ate everything. We think he might of died because he ate some poison or some animal that was sick. He died either the night of the 16th or the morning of the 17th (of August).

Last year for my 11th birthday I got "Needlework Skills Book:1 A Handsewing Primer by Rebekah Wilson. This is a great book for you if you want to learn how to hand sew and embroider (and crochet!). There are 8 lessons and each lesson has a project that reviews what you just learned. Right now I'm on lesson 7. I have pictures of the projects but I'll have to find them in our files. Please visit her website.

We got it Friday. I have been wanting one for sooooooooooooo long. It has 100 patterns on it and comes with free lessons and some discounts along with the lessons. So far I have made the letter "J", Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Sally (from the movie Cars), a butterfly, Ham (from the movie Toy Story), and the word "Mom". It is awsome!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I 've been working on this post and a couple other ones.(Hopefully I can post them soon!)
A couple weeks ago I made a crayon roll thingy. Here are the instructions for my version. The real instructions are here.

1.First I cut two pieces of fabric for the inside and the outside, both 5"x161/2". Then I cut one piece of iron-on interfacing 5"x161/2". Then I cut one 6"x161/2" piece of fabric for the pocket.

2. I folded the 6"x161/2" in half with wrong sides together and ironed it.

3. I ironed the interfacing to the wrong side of the fabric I wanted to be the inside.
4. I pinned the pocket onto the piece I wanted to be the inside with the raw edges together and right sides together. Then I started sewing 1 1/4" away from the fabric, then 1" away from that line. I kept sewing 1" away from the last line except at the end, I left 1 1/4". (look at the picture)

5. I pinned the bias tape in the middle of the end I wanted it on.

6. Making sure the bias tape was in the inside, I pinned the outside to the inside with right sides together and stitched 1/4" from the edge leaving about 3" left in the middle (make sure you sew the bias tape to the pieces!)

7. Then I turned it right side out and ironed it. I turned in the edge that was not sewn and whipped stitched it. Then I put the crayons in.

Enjoy your crayon roll!
