May. 23, 2008 - What are you supposed to name an entry that has a million things in it??

Okay. First, I added a link to my other blog on my sidebar. LimeadeAndTeardrops. Second: I posted on Jesusfreak7's blog today. He wasn't posting! Check it out. Third, my other blog will mostly be for pictures. I will probably post pictures on here too, because I love posting pics! Fourth: starling and I will be painting the Whitehouse orange once we gain control! Any objections?

Thank you for the comments!   Moosey Moo loves fan mail. Have I said that before? Lol!

Celebration of the day: My room is clean! :) Except for the Sharpies everywhere.

Verses for today: 1 John 4:7-12; 16-21. These are great! One of my friends has that for the signature on his text messages.

Weather: Very nice outside! Cloudy and sunny at the same time, with a high of 75!  And birds!

Song of the day: High of 75 by Relient K! If I could put a player on my blog it would be the first one today.

Also: Today is hug day! Give people hugs! Sad or happy, short or tall! :) *HUG* Moosey Moo hugs too. *hug* (He's short)
Alright, I think that's about all.... Thank you for reading this long randomly boring post!

May. 22, 2008 - Lots of Pics!

Moosey Moo wants me to post more pictures of him.

Just chillin'!  And me... Or at least my eyes....

How many people think I should put that as my avatar? I'm going to anyway. ;P
My friend Jess and I both drew on a pair of our jeans... Here is a few pics of mine.

This is the back of one leg...
Btw, those are scissors above the W.

This is the back of the other...The one with grass.  92 is for the year I was born. lol!

This is the front of the other leg. I put grass all around the edge of this one. (see above).

Front of the left leg. The words on the knee say "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"

This is the side of the... Right leg. I love the handprint! I got sharpie all over my hand, but it washed right off... So much for it being Sharpie!

And this is the pocket.... Both pockets are dripping, but only the left has an umbrella. and here is a pic I took a little while ago... The glass in the sunshine caught my attention and I just had to get the camera.

My mom loves canning jars... For that matter so do I! I don't like drinking from normal cups. Weird, huh?
You know It's only four weeks until I leave for Boot Camp!!! I'm so excited!
But my stomach really hurts right now, so I must go. Thanks for the comments! Y'all are doing great. ;)

Wow I didn't realize it was so close! Ooh I'm gonna miss everyone while I'm gone. Oh yeah, postcards, too. Better bring a few pens along! May. 3, 2008 - Our House

This is a pic of our house last summer. My room is the dormer all the way on the right.  We built it ourselves, and it only took six years! It is built of 16 inch long logs, mortar, and sawdust with lime (that's the insulation). So the walls are 16 inches thick.  If you really, really want to know how the walls are built, tell me and I will try to explain it to you!
Well this is a pretty boring entry, but I really like our house and wanted to show it to you.
BTW, if you are wondering what the black thing by the steps is, it is our mini Dachsund, Dahlia. :)

Apr. 10, 2008 - More Mission Stuff

Hey people! Hehe.
I spoke about my mission again on Wednesday at our friend's church (dragonrider72 and Jesusfreak7). Nearly as nervous as the first time! CJ (dragonrider72) is also going on a mission and spoke after I did. he was really nervous! But he did good. We are both going with the same group, Teen Missions International. Here's a link to their website... www.teenmissions.org .
Here is basically what I said in my talk.
I have always wanted to go on missions. Ever since I was younger I have felt that God was calling me to the field. This summer I'm going to the Amazon River in Brazil. I am going with a group called Teen Missions International.
Teen Missions is an interdenominational group. There are 15 kids on my team, about half of them are Baptist, and there are a few from the Church of God and a couple interdenominational. Teen Missions Has been sending kids out since 1971. They have sent over 45,000 teens to 110 different countries. Their goal is to get youth into lifetime missionary work.
My trip will be from June 21- August 14. The first two weeks I will be in training at Boot Camp, there will be about five weeks on the field, and the last week is at debrief.
Boot Camp is no pamper camp! It is held on Merritt Island, off the east coast of Florida. We will be learning puppets, drama, music construction, and evangelism. The purpose of Boot Camp is to acquaint  team members and leaders with the realistic conditions of the field, so we will be sleeping in tents, doing laundry in and bathing in buckets, there will be no ice, cold drinks, junk food, or electronics. The only literature we are allowed to bring is our Bible. We will also be learning teamwork by daily running an obstacle course. This includes a mountain of tires, a rope swing over a moat, 25 foot Jacobs Ladder, the Red Sea, and a 12 foot wall. Learning the Ten Commandments and the books of the Bible is required.
The dress code is very strict, on and off the field. We have to wear jeans or ankle length skirts the whole time. There is absolutely no sleeveless, tight, or low-cut shirts allowed. We also have to wear work boots the whole time except swimming, when we are required to wear watershoes.
After Boot Camp, my team will fly into Manaus, Brazil, and do puppets and drama for children for a few days. We will then take a five day boat trip down the Amazon to Belem, Brazil. Upon reaching Belem we will bus two hours to the Bible, Missionary and Work Training Center, located in  Sao Miguel Do Guama. We will spend a few weeks helping them minister to the villages along the river in that area. Before we leave, we will spend a few days ministering to the villages along the Guama River, a tributary of the Amazon.
During this time we will be living in dorms, tents, and I think we are staying in the boat while on the river. We will also be practicing what we learned in Boot Camp by bathing and doing laundry in buckets. We will be doing a daily Bible study, and over the course of our stay in Brazil, we will memorize a total of forty verses.
Debrief is on Merritt Island, where we held Boot Camp. We will have time to relax and wind down after the excitement of our trip, and learn how to take what we've learned back home to everyone we know.
 Thank you.

And with a sigh of relief, I stepped off the platform and collapsed in my seat.
I have gotten four vaccines so far, Hepatitus A and B, Typhoid, and Tetanus.  Now you probably think I'm weird, but I think shots are kinda fun! Holler if you agree! :)
To get into our first destination, Manaus, Yellow Fever  vaccine is required. At this moment there is a national yellow fever vaccine shortage! No one thought I would be able to get it before my trip. I asked my church and CJ's church to pray about it, and apparently they did, because Mom called around today and there is one clinic that has Yellow Fever available! We have to drive two hours to get there, in Greenville, SC. But praise the Lord, we have one! I am so excited! God is so awesome!
Well, dinner calls! Please leave a comment!

Apr. 7, 2008 - fun...

Yesterday (Sunday) I went up in front of the whole congregation and gave a speech about my mission. Frankly, I was terrified! I'm not one of those people who can waltz up on stage and stand up there for twenty minutes giving a speech and not be the least bit nervous. I WAS TERRIFIED. I almost died... I turned bright red (us Webbs have a way of doing that...lol) and I was shaking so bad I couldn't turn the page of my notebook! Other than turning red (which everyone mentioned to me) I guess I did great... That's what everyone said... Pastor Bill said I didn't look nervous... He thought I wasn't nervous! But afterward it was great, people hugging me, accidentally smearing makeup on me.... Yeah. lol! Well anyway I have to go do school...

Mar. 28, 2008 - Amazon Pic

See my new picture? That's the Amazon, not taken by me.... Here's a few facts about the Amazon...
~4.2 million cubic feet of water per SECOND empties into the ocean at the mouth of the Amazon River. During the rainy season that number goes up to 7 million feet per second!

~The Amazon produces approximately 20 percent of all the water that the world's rivers pour into the oceans on its own.

~The first European found the amazon because he was 200 miles out to sea and noticed that he was sailing in fresh water. He turned toward shore and found the amazon river.

Alright, I gotta go to work... Thanks for the comments!

Mar. 27, 2008 - Funds!!

Hello to the many people breathlessly waiting for my next entry.... Just kidding. ;)
I am extremely excited today, because my mission to the Amazon has been taken care of! My church decided that it was their job to send out missionaries (and it is) so they are paying for my trip! First they will take a love offering, and whatever is left over they will take out of the treasury.  Isn't God amazing!? This only happened after I completely gave it to God. I couldn't stop thinking about how I was going to raise enough money (I mean,  $3,590 is a lot!). Then one night I just thought, OK, God, there is no way I can get this money! And just stopped thinking about it. Two days later, Dad tells me the church is going to pay for it! God is awesome!!!

Jan. 14, 2008 - Aquarium!

Hello, I'm still alive! Thanks for the comment, Sami!  On Saturday the cast of our church Christmas play went to the Tennessee Aquarium, in Chattanooga. Since I was Barbara Booster, President of the chamber of Commerce, I went along. It was a lot of fun!  My favorite part was the PENGUINS!! They were showing off for the crowd and jumping in the air from the water. They are so fast! They were shooting from one end of the tank to the other, bubbles trailing behind them and floating to the top. I love bubbles. I'm ok... Well, I better go.
