Menu Plan Monday

Here is my weekly menu:

Monday- Tacos w/ all the fixins

Tuesday- Beef roast in crockpot w/ baby carrots and mashed potatoes

Wednesday- Spaghetti w/ meat sauce and garlic bread sticks

Thursday- Baked fish w/ baked potatoes and green beans

Friday- Chicken and vegetable casserole w/ honey rolls

Saturday- Cheesy enchilada casserole w/ mexican corn and brussel sprouts

Kassidy and I will be doing some baking this week which will include all the rolls, some muffins to have for breakfasts and also desserts for my Husbands lunch as well as after dinner.

I will be working on organizing and cleaning my home this week due to a busy schedule coming soon. I will also be giving Kassidy extra help in Math and Reading aloud this week. I have readjusted our schedules to fit this time in that she definitely needs.

We have been working on memorizing scripture and I am so amazed at how quickly children can memorize. This is something that for some reason I have always put on the back burner w/ my children but finally decided to really incorporate it into our day and they have really suprised me.

Thats all for now, God Bless!

Its been a long time.....

I have not blogged in such a long time, I really miss it. I have been reading blogs but not keeping up with my own. I miss typing out my thoughts and plans and such. My goal is to start blogging again and to be more consistent. Even if I am my only reader, thats okay :0).

So here we are at the beginning of a new year. I always have this need to clear out and organize and prioritize this time of year. I have been doing just that, I have been clearing out the clutter that has accumulated and it feels very refreshing. I like to keep things as simple as possible. Which is a struggle because I come from a long line of pack rats.

I do not exactly make New Years resolutions but I have decided that one of my major focuses this year will be to strengthen my relationships. starting with God, I so desire to be closer to him on a more personal level. My Husband and true love, our relationship seems to grow stronger and stronger every year. My children , whom I love dearly. Life gets so busy and I can easily get caught up in all that needs to be done and forget to just be in the moment. My goal is to stop and soak up all these blessed little moments I have with my family.

God Bless~Krystal

Its Raining!

Finally its raining, we needed it very badly and its a steady nice calm rain,PTL! We had one of those weekends that seemed as nothing got accomplished and by that I mean work. We spent most of the weekend spending time with our kids swimming, reading aloud, going to the park and eating, theres always lots of eating going on. It was nice to just relax and do whatever the children wanted.

Tomorrow its back to business! I have some work to do for my parents in the morning and the kids will be spending time with their Nana. When we get home I have a full afternoon of school planned . I have been doing some research on lapbooking and we are going to begin working on our first lapbook, the subject: Creation. I cant wait and I think my kids will really enjoy it as they are both very hands on learners.

We will continue to work diligently on our chore lists. I would like to start posting more details about our day on a daily basis so I can see how consistent I am being with my new schedule. It may be boring for my few faithful readers and I apologize in advance but I think it will help me to know whats getting done if I recap our day in my blog. I was reading a very neat blog over the weekend and this woman does just that, she shares about her day and it amazes me what she gets accomplished. Check it out.

copperswife's blog.

Well thats all for now, hope everyone had a blessed weekend!

Scheduling and Chores

Well today was the beginning of the Wilson Family's new and improved schedule. I know deep down in my heart that scheduling our days is the only way I can get things done and still have time to just enjoy my children but I fight it every step of the way. Im great at making the schedule and printing it out, its the following that I really fight. Now I realize that any schedule I make up will never go off perfectly but I need a goal and my children need a routine. They have been a bit trying lately. So I sat down lastnight and came up with a fairly decent schedule, got up early , got ready, had devotions and prayed that God would guide me through my day. I got the children up , did chores , had breakfast, did errands, and the rest of the day basically followed the schedule and the day was much better. I accomplished what I needed to get done and still had time for some swimming with the kids. My 8yr old dd, Kassidy and I baked some banana bread and prepared dinner so that when my husband got home all we needed to do was to put it in the oven. It felt great , I am now working on my homekeeping schedule as well as my homekeeping notebook!

I tried to purchase a usb cable for my camara at Walmart today but they do not carry them , so I ordered it online direct from the company, I cant wait to post some pictures. I did find some nice skirts at Walmart today, I normally cant find any clothing there I like but I purchased 4 skirts today, the cost for each averaged out to be about $12 per skirt. I really needed them.

Well thats it for today , God Bless!

Welcome and Menu Plan

Last week I had this great idea to change my blog around and somehow ended up deleting it , so here I am starting over. I am hoping to post lots more photos than I usually do, however, I have misplaced my usb cable for my camera. I think I am going to break down and buy a new one. My last post on my other blog was how I decided to quit my job and become a stay at home Mom again.Well, I am so enjoying the decision as is the rest of my family. My children are much happier and so is my husband. We havent been on any kind of schedule though, I have been just sort of catching up on some areas of my home that I had let go but thats about to change.  I am currently reading "Managers of Their Chores" by Steve and Terri Maxwell and I am gaining great insight. I do not have a large number of children but there are still many ideas and insights that apply. I am currently working on a schedule for me and the children and cant wait to put it in place.

WEEKLY MENU:

MONDAY-  ITALIAN CHICKEN, BAKED MAC N CHEESE AND PEAS

TUESDAY- PIZZA CASSEROLE AND TEXAS TOAST W/ SALAD

WEDNESDAY- PORKCHOPS, MASHED POTATOES, SWEETCORN

THURSDAY- HAM GREENBEANS AND POTATOES IN MY CROCKPOT W/ CORN BREAD MUFFINS

FRIDAY- GRILLED CHEESEBURGERS AND TATORTOTS

SATURDAY- BBQ CHICKEN, BOILED NEW POTATOES, SWEETCORN

SUNDAY- MEATLOAF, POTATOES AND GREENBEANS

* we are eating alot of the same veggies due to the fact that is what is currently in the garden and ready to eat!

* for desert we usually have cantelope or watermelon this time of year

Thanks for stopping by, God Bless!
