John Eight Thirty Two

• Mar. 3, 2007 - catching up

So, where were we??  It was the 24th of Feb when I last updated and here we are on the 3rd of March already.  I knew it was going to be busy and not only that, my blog was affected by the worm that seemed to attack quite a few blog sites but what am I going on about?  It's only been a week.  'A' had a break from work which meant that he was home for 5 days.  A wonderful long weekend!  It is always good to have him home, we all wish he didn't have to work outside the home but such is life.  On Tuesday, he took us shopping and bought us a new oven!!!!!!!!  He also bought us a dryer!!!!!  What a privileged gal I am!!!  The oven works really well, what a pleasure.  I'll get photos downloaded sometime and put them in here.  The dryer hasn't been delivered yet but I'll put a photo here when I can.
School went well..... little boy E got 100% on his Maths test which is something I was waiting to see after putting him up into the next grade.  To watch him work is so amazing.  He is so thorough and methodical and precise (like his Daddy) which makes my heart so glad .  I love that he checks his work without having to be told to.  For now, we are sticking with the decision to keep him in the more advanced grade.  My little girl J is also doing well.  She is a pleasure to have around and like I told my MIL this week, I would like her even if she wasn't my daughter!!!
We had a strange hail storm this week but other than that, it seems that Spring is on its way.  My girl J is all excited about being able to wear her Summer clothes!!!
We are getting ready for A's 40th on Saturday!!!  He wanted a Chocolate Fountain theme so that is what he is getting.  We had to try out the machine which we did this morning.

You saw the pictures of the cake I made in the previous entry.  We went to deliver the cake to the party and guess what?!?!  The baby decided to come one week early, i.e. early this morning.  They have wrapped the cake up and put it in the freezer until next week.   Some things we have no control over!!!  The next cake I make will be for A's work.....  I am not yet completely decided on what the cake will be but you will see it when it is done.  On Monday I am taking a few people on a tour around the neighbourhood and Old City so that will keep me out of mischief.  Planning for the party will also keep me busy.  At the moment my children and husband are watching all the Pink Panther movies back to back as we wait for the lunar eclipse.  There is nothing better than the sound of my family laughing.
