John Eight Thirty Two
• Apr. 6, 2007 - 2 days of catching up
Yesterday, we left home at 6:50am and returned at 11:30pm. Do you want to know what we did and saw in that time? That is kind of a rhetorical question because I am going to tell you regardless !
Our first stop was at Tel Megiddo.
We spent about 2 hours there and my children spent most of the time collecting bugs that were crawling all over the ruins! I think that what I liked the most was the water system. Then, we headed North to the Sea of Galilee. We took some great photos. I will have to tell you a bad story about our camera but a bit later...... Leaving there and driving through the Jezreel Valley we hit bad traffic. Then, passing through Tiberius, what should have taken 10 minutes, took an hour and a half. It was so very frustrating but an excellent lesson in patience. I am so proud of my children, my little girl J did not complain one little bit and the little boy E complained of severe hunger, in his words, "I'm extremely very starving"! We then went to a Kibbutz overlooking the Jordan Valley and Mt Hermon still with some snow on the top and the Golan Heights. This time of the year the Flora is absolutely amazing. After we had picnicked there we headed to Capernaum.
We did not make it to the other places we had planned on seeing because of all the cars on the road during this week so we decided to head back home. And then we had major traffic again heading back South. We finally got to a restaurant to have dinner at 9pm!!! That is why we got home so late and then, my wonderful dear husband went out at 2:30am this morning to go and collect our next lot of guests from the airport. We went on a great shopping spree today, they just love the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of all that this hustling, bustling little town has to offer. We spent most of the day talking and catching up and preparing food! I am positively exhausted but I just had to catch up because I don't want to be trying to remember too many days back. We have a nice arrangement going on here which I am very happy about. I do all the cooking and between all our guests and my family, everything gets cleaned and tidied up. Ok, so for those of you interested in our camera..... My little boy E took some wonderful photos and was returning the camera to his Daddy when, he tripped over little girl J's foot and he fell right onto the camera. It is irreparable. So, we will have to get a new one. This was not planned
Thanks everyone for your comments and messages. I will get back to you as soon as I am able to. I can't promise anything for the next few days though, please forgive me.
Blessings to you all
