• Aug. 23, 2007 - A Middle East Market (photos) Part 2

Apart from clothing, kitchen ware, bathroom accessories, toiletries and cosmetics and vegetables, there is the following:
So that would be strawberries, loquats and cherry tomatoes.
Yummy melons.  The knife is there so you can cut and taste before you buy.
Loquats and apples...
Any guesses on what this fruit is??
There is so much other fruit but I don't have pictures, sorry.
I don't know what to show you next..... hmmmmm, maybe the breads?
Freshly baked on the spot...
I wish I had taken more photos of the other baked products....
I could also show you the deli type stuff....
What's great about these stalls is that you can try and buy...
and have your smoked and pickled fish filleted for you....
as you keep your husband children away from the sweets!
Why is it that junk is so cheap?
Here you can get freshly roasted nuts and other interesting nibbles...
A vendor is NOT a vendor if he does not have a cell phone glued to his ear!

Join me in part 3 for some other yummy stuff.......

O.k my guess, is it a prickly pear.
What a wounderful array of colours, and so fresh. It is a shame junk is cheaper, it is like that here :( A mobile phone is a must for anything these days, unfortunately I am not responsible enough to have one. I must wait until I grow up or leave the house :).

The fruit looked so yummy, and all that fresh bread, wow. I'm not sure what that other fruit was. I would probably spend way to much on the candy, if I wasn't careful. And my family loves roasted nuts, I would have to get some for them. :)

Geesh, you all are making me hungry. I visited my friend Heidi and she had a blonde brownie recipe she shared, and something else too, that I can't recall at this moment. (brain lapse) LOL. Then I visited DanielW and she had a fruit salad with coconut in it. Now you have all these yummy fruits, breads, and cheeses. I better go get on dinner, huh? Anyone want tomatoes? They're coming out my ears.

Blessings,
Lori

My guess is a Dragon fruit. Is all the "junk" made in China? lol

This is a pretty blog :)
