I have been busy again . Some friends of ours celebrated their twin daughters' first birthday. I was told 'cat' and 'teddy' and I had to come up with the rest.
Front of cat Back of cat Front of teddy Back of teddy. Together.
The cakes were chocolate toffee and everyone enjoyed them.....
The next big project is to cater a multi-part 3 course meal for my husband's staff..... I am looking forward to a holiday sometime... The children have 7 days left of their curriculum. We will start our new year in January.
Ditto! The cakes are beautiful and oh SO cute (I'm sending booklover over to check them out), but that chocolate toffee sounds marvelous! Do you have a recipe to share?
I think those cakes look wonderful! I am really impressed. At first when I read the post I thought they were store bought. Then I re-read the post and saw that you did them. They look wonderful. Oh, and you were correct on the nostrils guess. There was an exhibit called "Grossology" at the science center. There were some way neat things there and some not so neat things there. Very good overall. have a lovely weekend, Tammy
Thanks for your comment. Your cakes are too pretty to eat! A work of art! I hope the Christmas season is a beautiful experience for you this year! Your blog name should be short & sweet!
Cute cakes! :-) You are very talented! I am doing good if I can get my frosted correctly forget all the extra "fluff". For some reason I have chosen to make a topsy turvy cake for church next Sunday morning. That ought be prove interesting. ;-)
Wow!! You never said you were a cake baker and decorator extraordinaire! I also want to know if the cat and teddy are edible...they look like it. Do you give lessons?!? in person?!? LOL After the dinner you WILL need a vacation! :-D I know, after this past week at our house. Thank you for the sweet comment...and I just saw my emails...I will try to get to that sometime this week...right now, I am just trying to get my produce order in and run back up to the house. Then tomorrow we have overnight company coming in...If I show these cakes to our children...they will never again be content with the cakes that I bake. LOL Oh! and chocolate toffee!?!? What is your secret recipe? Have a blessed week!
Grace and Peace,
Ruth
Oh, wow-those cakes are beautiful!!
The treat you asked about it just Snyder's snaps pretzels w/ a hershey kiss on top. Bake in oven at 170 for a few mins. Take out, press M&Ms on top, stick in fridge to harden. Holly
They look so sweet! I'm sure the girls loved them. I know I would! It's obvious you enjoy what you do. Just looking at these has inspired me! We've got some CHRISTmas baking to do, and while I'm sure I can't do as good a job as you do, I'm going to try make it something to enjoy. Thanks for stopping by my blog and Merry CHRISTmas!
The cakes looked great! I hope everything went well with the catering job for your husband. I know it's a lot of work but I love catering small parties (50 or less). You'll have to let us know what you decided to make and how everything went.
Merry Christmas!
