John Eight Thirty Two

• Feb. 2, 2008 - some news

Has it really been that long since I blogged?  Well, I have my reasons.   We have taken in an older child who speaks none of the languages I do and it has taken extra effort on my part to do what needs to be done around here and keep everybody content.  My youngest has probably taken this the hardest.  He was set in his ways from the time he was born and anything that is different from what he is used to is a challenge for him.  I think that this is a good thing, he needs to learn how to be more flexible.  I am now responsible to teach this boy 2 languages that he will need  to survive here.  He also has been introduced to the world of the vacuum cleaner, can opener and plumbing.  Lots of fun and games around here and lots of lessons in patience!  Thanks for your prayers.

We'll be praying for you as you enjoy your new challenge. How fun! I wish I knew two languages so I could teach someone.

For in your care he will learn the most important thing in your care, the love of Jesus. How scary a thing that sucks up the ground must sound the firsy time you hear it. And food in metal containers....very strange indeed.

Praying for your son. Maybe if you let him be the teacher a little?

Because of Jesus, Bobbie

I think it is wonderful that you are helping this boy. It sounds like it will not be without great challenges but God will supply all of your needs.

The challenges of life...it is great that you have opened your home to this young man. I am sure in just a few weeks everyone will have settled into their new routine. You are in my prayers...
