So THIS is what I have to do to get lots of comments huh?? 
Seeing as there were so many questions I will do my best to answer them here.
1 - So do you get new ones after you turn the recalled ones in?
We have been given an official document stating that we turned in our gas masks and when we are instructed to get new ones we have to present the document. This 'should' ensure that we are entitled to 4 of them and age/size appropriate ones. Our nearly 8 year old is no longer an infant as he was when we were first issued with the old ones.
2 - I forgot to ask, what is Atropine????
I will make this as brief as possible. Atropine is a biological drug that has attributes that make it effective in controlling or neutralizing the effects of chemical weapon agents. Basically an antidote to biological warfare.
3 - Here in the US recalled means they were issued during a time of high risk, but now it's supposedly safer for you all? Or does it mean there is something wrong with the gas mask kits? Recalled basically means "ordered to return". There are varying reasons for this of course. Every citizen of this country is issued with a gas mask and when a baby is born their parents are 'supposed' to get one for them. This ensures that in a time of 'higher alert' everyone has one. I mentioned in the previous entry that we have had 2 near reasons to use them. Both times had to do with 'threats of war' and 'chemical/biological' weapons were being threatened..... At these times, all the mail boxes, newspapers, radio, television and internet news sites are flooded with instructions on what to do. That is when educational institutions and parents are instructed to educate the children on how to use their gas masks and how to prepare their houses and 'safe rooms'. The kits are then opened and demonstrations take place. The most important thing to check for is that the kits are in full working order and the Atropine must not be beyond its 'safe to use' date. Because we have been ordered to open the kits and demonstrate how to use them and even put them on our children twice in the last 8 years, and also because the Atropine is expired, and also because war IS looming, it is time to hand in the old ones and wait for the announcement to go and collect new ones.
4 - Wow, that is strange. Why were they all recalled ? I think it is ALSO a way for the powers that be to do some kind of a census.....
I just want to encourage you all. War is a very real possibility. The Word clearly says so. We are not scared. Perfect Love casts out all fear. He does not give us a spirit of fear but of Love, Power and a sound mind... We know that being in the centre of His Will is the safest place to be. I do gratefully thank you for your prayers for our family and this Land.
