John Eight Thirty Two

• Jan. 7, 2009 - 1000 comments

It used to be that I had time to visit blogs, leave comments, write entries and actually had things of interest to blog about.  230 Entries since this blog began and 1000 comments later things are different for sure.   I think it coincided with us not having a car, not going very many places, not having a camera and just general busyness.  But honestly, I just haven't had as much time in recent months.
Having said that, we went away on the weekend and I have some photos to share   We were in the north, about a 3 hour drive from where we live and about 4 hours drive from where the 'war' is happening right now.

The picture below is Mt Hermon.  It has some snow but not nearly enough.  The water level in the Sea of Galilee is exceedingly low.  We need rain!!
Psalm 89:12The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

The picture below is taken from the top of Mt Tabor.  Can you guess which city it is??

Luke 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

I took this photo because it is funny.  It is advertising a Bedouin Restaurant and some old, special things

Those are beautiful pictures. We have missed you in blogland, but it seems like everyone has cut down somewhat on their blogging. :) Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Can't help but wonder what "antics" the bedouins are up to in that store. lol!

Thank you for your well written words. It is only God's presence that has kept the Israeli casualties so low. It is only relationship with Jesus that brings the peace Christ gives which is not as the world gives. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family and your nation.

No country has ever endured what the world expects Israel to endure. I do not know what news you are hearing from the US but I will tell you.I was surprised and encouraged by the words Pres (Elect) Obama used when asked about the war in Israel. He said if someone was shooting rockets at my children's rooms I would not hestitate to do everything in my power to protect them.

Since we Do Not know exactly how he will lead concerning Israel, those words encouraged me. I hope they encourage you.

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Heb 11:1 NLT

My hope, prayers, and love are with you and your family.

Because of Jesus, Bobbie

My family really enjoyed seeing the mountains and Bethlehem. They think that is really cool, I do too.
