Thursday, June 11, 2009 - Wow.
It's been like, what, two months since I've posted? Wow. That was...unusual.
Anyhow, news. So far, the most interesting thing I've done is make a comic named Live, Learn, and Lawsuits. I'll link to it later.
This post's just to say I'm back.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 - BZP and a Award
I've received my first award from WalkinginMiddleEarth. It is...*drumroll* THE TRUE LORD OF THE RINGS FAN award! DatadaDAH! So, yeah, there's my award.
And yes, I've joined BZP (BionicleZone Power) as...Kahinuva! Why not Joran, you say? Because Kahinuva is the name of my moc that I created a while ago, and since this is a Bionicle Forum, I decided to name myself that.

Monday, April 27, 2009 - 66th
Just a reminder, I have 66 comments! Although this isn't the "100th" mark, it's still remembered because of "Order 66". So, here's a little tidbit on that Order, taken from Wookiepedia:
***
Order 66 could be found in the document entitled Contingency Orders for the Grand Army of the Republic: Order Initiation, Orders 1 through 150, GAR Document CO(CL) 56-95, a document containing a series of special contingency orders that covered any and all emergency situations, which the clones that comprised the GAR were prepared to execute, immediately and without question, and only in specific cases of extreme necessity. Some of these orders concerned contingencies any armed force could conceivably face. Many dealt with contingencies specifically involving the GAR Supreme Commander — in this case, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine — and the effect on the chain of command were he ever to become incapacitated or declared unfit to issue orders. Sufficiently buried among the other one hundred forty-nine orders so as to almost escape notice, Contingency Order 66 specifically dealt with the effect on the chain of command were issues to arise involving the Jedi. The exact text of the order ran:
Order 66: In the event of Jedi officers acting against the interests of the Republic, and after receiving specific orders verified as coming directly from the Supreme Commander (Chancellor), GAR commanders will remove those officers by lethal force, and command of the GAR will revert to the Supreme Commander (Chancellor) until a new command structure is established.Under close examination, the text of Order 66 exposed several distinctions that set it apart from the other contingency orders. First, the majority of the other known contingency orders took into account other sources of command authority — the Vice Chair Mas Amedda, the Senate Security Council, the Jedi Council, the GAR High Command—while Order 66 could only be issued by the GAR Supreme Commander — in this case, Palpatine himself. Second, it was not required that the Security Council, or a Senate majority, declare that the Jedi were acting against Republic interests; Palpatine alone had the power to make that determination. Third, GAR commanders were not required to authenticate the order, or even to report it to any other command authority. If the order came directly from Palpatine, using specific command phrasing and over specific communications channels pre-approved by him for this express purpose, that was all the authentication the clone commanders appear to have needed. Fourth, there was no apparent mechanism for rescinding the order; once given, it had to be followed.
Finally, there was no proviso — as there was in other known contingency orders — that the Jedi were to be detained and that lethal force should be used if necessary; the order specified that they were to be removed by lethal force, period. Though the true purpose of this specific command was to satisfy Darth Sidious's personal wish to eliminate the Jedi as a threat to his power, the insistence on lethal force could have been rationalized for general — that is, non-Sith — consumption: it could be argued that any attempt to detain a Jedi who did not wish to be detained would fail, except in the event that said Jedi was faced with overwhelming GAR numbers, and even then, such an attempt would likely result in numerous unnecessary GAR casualties. The use of lethal force, in that event, would therefore automatically be considered necessary to preserve the lives of GAR soldiers and officers.
In 19 BBY, Order 66 was issued by Darth Sidious towards the end of the Clone Wars. The official reason given for its execution was the onset of an attempted Jedi coup against the Republic; in reality, it was the culmination of a chain of events orchestrated by Palpatine himself over a period of decades, all designed to end the Jedi Order and to bring about the domination of the Sith. Just days earlier, the Senate had passed the Security Act, which gave Palpatine authority to disband the Jedi Order.

And that's it. Also, you might have been seeing something...wierd...about my posts. What is that, you say? Lets just say it's a little game, and they all mean something. First person who tells me what they are gets...um...gets a...uh...er...okay, scratch that. Just comment.

Sunday, April 19, 2009 - Beware the Swarms
Yeah, it's a surprise seeing me post again so soon, eh?
Well, I wanted to post a little sooner than I usually do. Anyhow, the most exciting thing going on right now is that I've finished the basic sprites for my game "Beware the Swarms" (Tahu's walk, jump, punch, kick, and stand). After importing them into Game Maker, I then started on the code. This is my first game using code to program the game, usually I use drag and drop (those who use Game Maker know what I'm talking about). So far it's going good. What I need to do is to find scenery for my game. I'm thinking of scrunching my old Mnog files (that's Mata Nui Online Game, jsyk) to find some.
Last couple posts, TheWriter asked me for a link to download Game Maker, so here it is. Notice that there are both Lite and Pro versions. Lite is free, while Pro is not. However, you don't really need Pro to make a game. The one that is in the download link is Lite, then you can pay to upgrade to Pro. I myself just use Lite.
It's a little complicated, but it needs to be complicated to make complicated games, right? The Yoyogames Official Site has some tutorials that might help, so check them out.
Other than that, I finished Algebra I. Haven't even entered high school yet, so I should have a head start on it in the fall.
Over and Out,
Joran

Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - A Very Long Time
Wow. It's been quite a while since I last posted...I thought I posted before, but oh well. Unlike other time, however, quite a lot has been going on. The first and probably most interesting thing is that we went to Florida for spring break vacation. Of course, we didn't go during Spring Break, we did school all through Spring Break and went two weeks after to avoid the rush. Did we? Yes...and no. We did miss most of the visitors, but Downtown Disney got really crowded at night (not a surprise). We stayed at Downtown Orlando, right next to Downtown Disney. The entire vacation lasted a week, and we went first to Talahassee, then down to Orlando, back up to Chatanooga and then to St. Louis, then finally arriving back home in, er, um, home.
But after the trip we came down with sickness which prolonged schoolwork for another week (which meant a longer summer school). After recovering, things went back to normal.
Also, a shout out to WalkinginMiddleEarth for doing such a great job on the series on Gandalf made at my request. Click the link above to see it or use the link here to see part one of nine.
Other News: My game's still finishing up on sprites...Tahu's been a little glitchy sprite-wise. I've started on the graphics for his level, and hope to finish them soon. The game's a TPQ (Third Person Quest) and, until I can get a free 3d game maker, is going to be in 2-D.
Got a couple LEGO sets at Downtown Disney which I will be using for another Lego Movie.
Seen the Summer Bionicle Sets, the Glatorian Legends. They look pretty cool. I'm thinkng of getting one once it comes out, if it is on sale somewhere.
Got the Masterpeice Blueprint to move to Rank 5 on MLN. All I need is to build it. I'll need quite a bit of jewels to do so, but getting 500 clicks on one module is pretty good.
HSB Member "Bibleman" gave me the rights to use his character "Zapman", so Zapman comics will be on this blog soon...
Over and Out.

Monday, February 23, 2009 - Games
Everything's been going pretty well now. School's now back in progress, leaving me with less time to blog.
Anyhow, I've now started a new game via the Game Maker Program. Its based on the Bionicle 2003 storyline, featuring the Toa Nuva fighting the Bohrok Swarms, the Bohrok-Kal and the Rahkshi. Using the Rayg Sprite Maker (a Bionicle automatic sprite maker made from the famous sprites of BZPower member InnerRayg), I'm forming the Tahu Nuva level of the game.
Also, the new Glatorian Arena game is coming out on Bionicle.com, a good thing seeing as how Lego Universe was postponed. GA is the closest thing to a BMOG (Bara Magna Online Game) that we'll recieve this year, so I'm happy about that...

Saturday, February 7, 2009 - The Blogger Returns
Well, after New Years I encountered comp problems and was not able to post 'till now. But now, I'm back, JSYK...
Anyhow, new Bionicle Sets have come out, and I want to add them to my collection. Most Likely are Gresh and Mata Nui (which I am sure of is a summer set).

The third "last posts of 2008". So, Christmas is over (and it came VERY fast) and its about a week til New Years. This is the end of my first year at HSB (although you might technically say its my first half year since I joined in July).
Other than that, there not much more to say but "Happy New Years!"

Tuesday, December 23, 2008 - Holiday
Since we did school all summer, we're off Christmas week. I'm enjoying the free time so far. Our Christmas Vacation will go on 'till New Years Day, 2009, so that's about two/three whole weeks of relaxing (along with going on my comp).
So anyhow, Merry Christmas to all!!!

Saturday, December 6, 2008 - Year's End...
Well, the year's going to end soon, so I figured I better put up some "last posts of 2008" stuff. For me, the year slows to a crawl most of the beginning of the year until June, then it speeds up to warp speed until New Years, then the cycle starts all over again and keeps going and going until I finally lose track of time itself and become a person wandering throughout the Time-Space Continuum. So yeah, time is confusing.
Yeah, this post is completely random and pointless, but, if you really look at it, a lot of stuff is completely random and pointless. Like that statement.
So anyways, here is the first of the "Last Posts of 2008".
Over and Out,
Joran

Saturday, November 22, 2008 - Return of the Blogger...
Yes, after a long period of unpostage, I return (and three days earlier too!). I did go online some days ago and again yesterday. I also posted around yesterday, but it was somehow deleted...anyways, this is just to say that I'm back and posting.
I should post more, but I'm late for Chinese Class, so...
Over and Out,

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - Lego Transformers: More than meets the Bricks!
I've decided to put up my pics of my Lego Transformers. These are the small, pocket version kind, not the large ones (which I do not have the pieces to make). So, I now present to you, Lego G1 Optimus Prime!!!
It transforms, of course, into Optimus Prime, seen here:
His trailer transforms as well into his Headquarters:
I've also made another version of him which I call "Ultimate Optimus Prime". It has the same function as the G1 I made above, such as the same two alt modes:
It has more detail than the first one, a better fixture with the arms, and better-looking head, and a smoother transformation.
There is also "Ultimate Bumblebee" that I made who has three alt modes. He can transform into a cement truck:
A canon:
And a robot:
Optimus can also use Bumblebee as a gun:
As you can see, Bumblebee is shorter and smaller in both vechicle and robot mode then Optimus.
That's all the Transformers I've created so far. I'll post more when I build them.
Over and Out,
Joran

Sunday, October 26, 2008 - Yesterday
Yesterday my family went to a corn maze. It would have been easy to get through had it not been for pesky Post Number 3. That took forever to find. Anyways, after we were done, we went to our church's annual hayride, which also went very well.
In other news, I went to Books-A-Million and they had a copy of Bionicle Legends 11: The Final Battle. BL11 was the most awaited Bionicle book of 2008. It explains what the Makutas' plan was and if they suceed. It does have a very surprising ending, in which the Toa seem to win, but a darker danger arises.
I am also pondering if I should use a rotating white Hau instead of a Golden Paraki...I'll stick with the Paraki for now.
Well, that is all...

Tuesday, October 21, 2008 - Another post (don't you just love obvious blog entry titles?)
After a while a unpostage (which, by the way, is not a word as far as I know), I am back with some more news.
Our sunroom is almost complete. We have bookshelves in it now, and are currently moving all our school stuff into there. My new comp is going there as well. The outside of it is almost complete. Its great to see it finally open after so many long months of waiting.
For a while there, my avatar was of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, but I have now changed it to a Golden Paraki. Its the same one that Onua Mata wore after he collected all of the Kanohi Masks.
Thats all that I can think of for now...

Friday, October 10, 2008 - Pictures of the New Sunroom!!! (And a tag!)
Well, they've painted the sunroom today, as well as put doors and windows in! Here are pics (tho not that great since they were taken after dark, hey, pics are pics!!!)
Yes, they are large, but it'll have to do for now 'til I get the resize thing figured out...
In other news:
I have gotten three more Bionicles: A Vahki, another Rahkshi, and...drumroll, please...TOA KOPAKA NUVA!!!! He is, in my opinion, the best Toa of Ice out there (even above Matoro!). And his Nuva version is his finest. Not even the new Toa Phantoka version could equal this (after all, all he had was that blaster thing anyways).
I have also been tagged by padawan16. Here it is:
*****
It's the "sixish" tag!
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag sixish people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know he or she has been tagged.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
__________________________________________
1. I am multitasking between playing Crystalien Conflict, blogging, putting pictures up on the the comp, doing MLN, and researching about Bionicle at the same time.
2. I haven't at since 2:00pm
3. I am searching for new Bionicles
4. I will revamp my blog in a couple of weeks
5. I have school on Saturdays (Chinses class and writing class)
6. I have a Gamecube, Wii, Ps2, two Gameboys, and a Nintendo 64
Tagged people (picked very randomly),
So, that's about it for now.
Over and Out.
