Crayon FUN!!!!!

So I give Blessing crayons to color with.  However, after coloring for a fun 32.5 seconds, she decides to sit on the floor and take all the crayons out of the box and put them back in.  She did this for about 15 minutes a couple of times today.  I think her attention span in getting longer than mine! LOL!

Playin' in the Park

Today Tammy and I took the kids to Matter Park to play.  It was for the MOPS park event and Blessing had fun.  Despite being the end of September, it was pretty warm, but I'm not complaining cause I don' t like winter so I'm soaking it all in.  Blessing especially liked the teeter totter and the balance beam.

This week...

We had a fun week.  Andy had to work really long days, but Blessing and I kept busy and since the weather was so gorgeous this week, we took advantage of it.  On Wednesday, Tammy brought Brilynn and Gabriel over to play in the morning and for lunch.  On Thursday, we went to lunch at Grandpa & Grandma Rickners.  Tammy, Brilynn and Gabriel were there too.  Then Grandpa and Grandma took all 3 kids on a long golf cart ride.  They had a great time and wanted to go on more rides, but it was naptime, so we headed home.  On Friday we got together with Tammy and the kids again and went into Rescued Treasures for some "treasures".  I got Blessing a cute pair of jeans and several books.  This second hand store has most things half off on Fridays, so my grand total was $ 0.86.  Yeah!  Then we headed back to Tammy's for lunch.  Friday, Andy got home from a long week of work and we headed into Marion for a rare treat of eating out at Applebee's and then ran some errands.  Saturday was a lazy day at home catching up on some rest.  In the afternoon we headed into Tree of Life, where I had a Milky Way Frappe YUM-O and Blessing and Andy played with blocks in the kids section.  We came home and went on a picnic.  Since Andy needs to drive the bus that he fixed back to church in the morning, we walked over to the shop, said hi to Grandpa and Grandma and Dan and then rode the bus home.  Blessing just went to bed, so we have a quiet evening planned.

Cowpies

So today we continued learning our alphabet and 1-2-3's.  Then we learned more about cows and made cow stinkies or cowpies (aka-caramel, peanuts, and chocolate - YUM!!!)  Here are a few pictures of our process.

Isaiah Tree & School Prep

Thank you to Aunt Ruth, Carol & her family, and Lori and her family for the beautiful gift of a red maple tree.  This tree was planted on Friday night in memory of little Isaiah.  Blessing even helped by throwing in some dirt!

We are also starting school tomorrow.  Just 10 minutes a day or so to keep it fun but learn some, too.  I made some flashcards today!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Contemplations...

So I'm kind of new at this Homeschool thing.  I homeschooled my niece who was in 2nd grade for a year, but I had curriculum then.  I'm starting fresh with an energetic 2 year old.  I think I'll start with animals, basic colors, and, of course, 1-2-3's and A-B-C's in the form of flashcards.  I'm a little behind since it's only been 2 weeks since we lost our beloved Isaiah at 21 weeks, but the Lord is daily giving us the grace and peace we need and is carrying us through.  So now that I have a basic plan, I can begin preparations.  I'm excited and a little shocked that Blessing is already 2, but here we go....

Blessing at the Park recently.  She's growing up so fast!
