Joyful Chaos

So a comment from another blogger got me thinking.  What are your tried and true curriculum choices?  The ones you find yourself going back to year after year or child after child?

I will second some of Heathers.  I find myself recommending Spelling Power and Explode the Code to other homeschoolers more than any other items.  I also really like the Story of the World series.

We've really enjoyed Diana Warring's "What in the World's Going on Here" sets and the "Light and the Glory for Children" books for history. "English from the Roots Up" was very easy, and they have benifitted from it in their vocabulary and Bible study. "Learning Language Arts Through Litterature" has also been great. Then, Math-U-See has been a real blessing. It takes such little mom-time. We all like "Signs for His Glory". And we LOVE the Rod & Staff readers and story books. Those are the ones we tend to keep going back to.

About Me

Welcome, glad you stopped by! Here you will get a glimpse into the day to day life of our family, as we happily homeschool in Delaware. We currently have 1 child who is married with a son of his own, two in college, and 4 more under 11 years old. Things are often hectic and a little bit crazy, but usually fun and maybe a bit interesting.
