So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:4-7

Some of my very first entries here were about a year ago. I had absolutely no clue what I was doing on anything computer related! Since then I have learned quite a bit from many friends and my darling husband who holds my hand and talks me through each time I get stuck (which is often).
I'm fanatical about researching and collecting resources for all the subjects we study - music or other subjects. I usually go way overboard, have too much stuff, then have to choose my favorites. So, what should I do with all the extra great stuff I have found? So many homeschool moms and teachers have written wonderful lesson plans, ideas, games, lapbooks, etcetera, that I would still like to use with my children. I decided to make a collection of them here as some of my first attempts on a blog figuring I would use some of them each Christmas. It ended up being a humongously scary list!
Now that I'm starting to look through it to decide which activities we want to study, I thought, "There must be a better way to organize this stuff!" I have been writing many units on Squidoo since June - I am so adicted to using it because it is easy, fun, and colorful. I find I have an easier time adding videos and such, also. So, I decided to transfer the links over to Squidoo.
I recently started working on this Chrismas Unit Study that will be a constantly growing unit! To make it easier to navigate than a huge list of links, I have tried to break it up into curricula areas so I could click right to the subject I wanted the children to study. I hope this will be helpful to fellow homeschooling moms as well as anyone else who might be interested!
The old Christmas pages are still here in the archives from November / December 2008, but I will be transferring them over to the Squidoo pages that hopefully will be more helpful.
