Jun. 6, 2009 - American Revolution
I will walk in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame, for I delight in your commands because I love them. I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees. Psalm 119:45-48

The American Revolution 15 Lessons, Activities, & Online Quizes
Revolutionary War at History Central - Great site! Very thorough articles, but not overwhelming for my middle schoolers. Contains: Causes of the War, Battles & Main Events, First Hand Battle Accounts, Biographies of Participant, Stories & Legends of the Revolution, Americans of this Period, Documents, Economics, Washington's Reports, Student Guides, Teacher Guide, and other links. Each section has many subdivisions to choose for further study if desired. The teacher guide lists what they consider most important and links to a variety of lesson plans. The student section has a wonderful part on 'study terms' which would be great for vocabulary or just basic understanding of the main events. Online quizes are found here also.
American Revolution at History Place - The history of explorers through 1790 using a detailed timeline. There are some nice pictures to view.
The Revolutionary War: A Journey Towards Freedom Information on people, places, battles, documents, and symbols of the Revolution, Teacher Corner contains lesson suggestions, the Fun Zone has four interesting game for learning, and links to other resources.
American Revolution My favorite sections are the Art Gallery (Revolutionary art and artist history), 18th Century Music (colonial and world music from this time in history), 18th Century Clothing (I wish I could sew!), and Colonial Flags over America (some of the pictures would be awesome to put in a lapbook)- but there are also tons of articles on various aspects of the American Revolution, Loyalitst Pages, History Links, and Geneology & Re-enactor Links.
