Here's a quick interview update. Leland had a good trip and interview on Thursday. His interview was at 9:00. He spent some time with Paul who he spoke with on the phone and another person in charge there and had a somewhat informal interview. They just asked him whatever questions came to mind and had a good talk all in all. Then they passed him off to the production manager for an interview with him and then a tour. All in all, the interviews went very well. Much of Leland's experiences at his current job related well with questions and things he could talk about and have expertise in that related to the job there.

All in all it seems like there isn't a specific position that they're trying to fill, but they're looking at some areas of needs that they have and looking to see if Leland would be a good fit to help them out in those areas. They also asked about the possibility of him working 2nd shift or being able to be on call to ship something out to a customer over the week-end (but not during church time). Actually, I think 2nd shift might be somewhat appealing with a homeschooling situation. It would be nice to have Leland's help during some of those schooling hours! Plus, we could have our main meal during the early afternoon, and he would be there to help with the meal/watch kids during the preparation time.

They told Leland they'd get back to him next week sometime so we'll see we wait to see what they decide! In the meantime we wait and see if anything happens with the house. Today we were busy fixing up our big garage - it had some panels replaced and needed some painting, and also had some trim that needed painting along with a few other minor repairs. We didn't completely finish because of rainy weather, but hopefully will finish over this week-end. Then we'll be pretty much done with the things we need to fix up finally!
