Today was a good day! We made the 1-hour drive over snow-covered roads to close on our house today! All went fine and we were able to close on our house so we're back to owning a home again! Even though I'm stepping back from living in great places this past year with lots of acres of land, buying a house that will keep us free from financial stress will be so much better! Plus the place we're at has no neighbors around it so it feels like we own acres and acres even though we only own a 150x150 lot. We also have great friends in town about 1/4 mile away so that will be well worth not having a ton of land! I'll have to take pics of the beautiful town of used to be 71 or so and now 79 sometime! It's in a very beautiful spot!
Anyways, we have a lot of work on painting, flooring, and getting appliances for our new house. So that along with packing and all will keep us busy for the next few weeks!
The other good news is that the owners of the house we've been renting to have 2 offers on their house and are pretty sure they're accepting one of them! We had 8 showings in the week since it's been listed so it's been a bit of work to be cleaning it up and vacating every day! So hopefully the offers are good enough that it will be taken off the market and we can stop having showings here and life can become more normal!
I have no idea how I ended up at your blog!!! Doesn't really matter, though, since I loved visiting. So, are there any twins in your bunch? We're sharing labor stories. With the amount of time you've spent in labor and delivery you surely must have something of interest to share!!! I'll be back to check your story!
