Our kitchen is very "no-frills" with just big open cupboards (no dividers between where the different doors are). Our spices have just been sitting scattered on a shelf where you need to dig through the pile of spice containers to find what you want when you're cooking. The other day I had an extra diaper wipe container (we use up plenty of those!). I decided to take the spices that are generally used in the same dishes and group them in the spice containers in the cupboard. At this time I just have one diaper wipe container so I took that and was able to fit in the baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves etc... type spices in it. It's so nice now when I go to make zucchini bread or carrot bread or some such bread, I can just grab the diaper wipe container out of the cupboard and all the spice ingeredients that I use are all there together! As I get a couple more I plan to group a few more types of ingredients in together like italian seasonings or soup-type seasonings. It makes it much easier to find and use things from the cupboard! Hope that helps someone!
